A very Happy Birthday to Xueli, Xiquan and me! =) May all our wishes come true.
Spent almost the whole day at jinx's house(seems like I'm a chang2 ke4 there) playing cards and watching stupid videos.
Have to say a really big "Thank You" to jinx's mum for that birthday cake. I was seriously very touched. Many thanks to those who were there for the birthday song and company and of course to the many friends out there for their presents and well-wishes.
Sometimes, it takes only a simple incident to know how insensitive some people can be. They might mean the world to you, but in their eyes, you are nothing more than an acquaintance.I have learnt my lesson. I should not trust people so easily. I will learn to kan4 kai1 yi4 dian3. The world is not as perfect as I had imagined it to be.

I was in a damn chirpy mood when I entered the office this morning.
It's finally FRIDAY! The start of the looong break! *yea* I can't wait to take a break from work. =)
Everyone in the office was in an ultra high mood. Even those executives ran about shaking hands with everyone they saw and going "Xing Nian Kuai Le". I guess they can't wait to dump all their work aside, just like me.
Yupyup, I am having a break all the way till 5th Feb! Heard that there's going to be a buffet lunch when we return on the 6th. Not bad, our welfare is well-taken care of, which sort of compensates for the high-level of stress everyone is under (My workload is considered somewhat OK in comparison to others).
Company transport dropped me off at JP at around 6 which left me wandering aimlessly about for almost 1 hr before I meet the others at 7.30. Saw Ade and I shopped for clothes with her. Went to find Jinx after a while and she presented me with a yellow Pooh pillow, which was super huggable. =)
The RV gang consisting of YT, Jas n XF arrived shortly and we set off in search for a place for dinner. Ha, in case you are wondering about the slightly weird combi, it's because jinx n the RV gang both asked me out for dinner and I dun want to
pang-seh either parties, so I asked Jinx along since she knows all of them anyway. ;) Our honourary RV member yea?
Anderson's ice-cream is so yummy. And today commences the start of a sinful diet. My mum stocked up on so much new yr goodies that it looked as though there's a war ongoing in S'pore.
Heard that 5 pineapple tarts = running for 200 plus minutes. That's it. I have to run for my whole life if I managed to finish that tub of pineapple tarts by myself.
And it turns out that the so-called CNY dinner is a celebration for my bday? Thanx guys!
I think my friends know me best (most of them anyway). I feel so blessed.
You guys are the best present I could ever receive.
Really, nothing else matters more than love, the love from friends and family. That will do. =)

Exactly 1 week till the day when I say goodbye to 18. This sux. Some people just celebrated their 18th birthday, and here I am, going on to 19. *sigh*
Can I be forever 18?
Haha, I have came up with a wishlist, but don't worry, most of them cannot be bought with money, so u guys don't have to get it for me. =P
The intangibles:
1. 4As, 1D and an A/B for GP. (That's a ridiculous wish lah, but still, it's a wish!)
2. Good health
3.Happiness all year long
4 Love from my family and friends.
5.Prince Charming and my million eye candies
The tangibles:
1. You ke li lin's Acoustic Journey
2. A nice bag for work
3. An Adidas sweater
4.Can't think of anything else
But seriously, the tangible things are just shen1 wai4 wu4. What I really wish for is that my 19th year on this earth will be a smooth-sailing one and that my family and friends will always be there to shower me with love and care, making me feel wanted and loved. =)
Almost forgot, Twinnie, I havn't completed ur present. LOL, but don't worry, I'll get it ready when we meet on Thursday. =)
Counting down to Friday!!! woohoo!!

For the first time in one month, work has been rather slack for me, which is good. For once, I do not have to kill so much brain cells everyday, by looking at the mountains of figures and valuing them.
In fact, I did mostly Admin work this week!
"..Photocopy 3 sets..A4 to A3...punch holes....arrange the files...prepare tabs..for me..can u help me get...."
I'm lazy. I love doing things which don't require me to use my brains. Not that it would have made a difference if I were to use them, but u get what I mean.
And I was so proud of myself cos' I prepared so many sets of notes for whoever is taking over me after I leave in maybe April or May. I spend the whole day typing out the procedures step-by-step and there were even Apendixes and flowcharts! On the other hand, that goes to show how free I am now. And anyway, it was not self-initiated. My boss asked me to do it. *lol*
Wee~The 31st is a public holiday! And the CNY break for my company is all the way till 5th Feb! I can't wait for the break, though it means less money for me, but I don't care!
Anyone's free on the 31st? Haha, but I doubt anyone would be free cos it's CNY afterall. Hehe, I shall think of some other ways to keep myself entertained then. =)
Can someone please pass me a time-turner? I want to go back to the past.

Went for RV's 50th Anniversary concert at NUS's UCC yesterday. We didn't know that it was such a grand event until we saw Mr Tharman(the guest-of-honour) entering the lobby.
Haha, we were shocked to realise that RV is 50 already. The last time I remember, she was still in her forties. Haix, wo men lao le. 5 yrs ago, I was performing on stage with RVCO, during RV's 45th anniversary. 5 yrs later, I'm back as an audience. The feeling is really different. Ha, I think I knew less than 10 performers onstage. Afterall, we graduated from RV more than 2 yrs ago. It's not likely that we'll know any juniors still studying in RV.
Goodness, we paid 25 bucks for the concert! Dance society's performance was great. Choir and CO were disappointing though. I really dunno what happened to the CO juniors. I think it has got to do with the sudden departure of
that particular conductor. Let's hope that they will improve over time. We were absolutely horrified by the grand finale. They had some CLDDS members reciting some mushy stuffs
(.."yong4 blah blah de zhong3 zi sa4 shang4 blah blah de jing4 tu3..") at the sides, while students bearing the RV flags marched down the aisle. For a moment, I thought I was transported back to the communists' era. It didn't help that we were sitting at the 2nd row. I know we are mean, but we almost died from laughing too hard.
Saw some batchmates,CO seniors and teachers. My sec 1 teachers still remember my name! Ha, I was so touched *sniffs*. It was great to see all those familiar faces again. Really missed those days back in RV. They ended the concert with the singing of the school song. And being crazy and school-deprieved seniors, we started cheering and singing the shan ge. Sadly, no juniors on stage joined us. I wonder what happened to the school culture and school spirit. =(
Yu ri yue zheng guang xi, yu tian di gong jiu chang. =)

It turns out that Friday the 13th was not that jinxed afterall. It didn't even rain at all during HC's campfire, which was really amazing. Speaking of campfire, I feel so detached from school. Though the A'levels was something which took place less than 2 mths ago, it actually felt very distant to me now. Yea,I was quite happy to be back in HC again, to see my classmates, juniors and teachers, but the thing is, I am no longer a student there, so the feeling is very different from what it used to be.
The j1s are so full of life and so enthusiastic! I felt really old when I was watching them at the campfire. I missed the days during the "1st 3 months", where we played and slacked like nobody's business. =)
And yay, the new TV is coming tml! My 8-yr-old TV died last week and we went shopping for a new one on Wednesday. Haha, we don't have to squint at the small TV anymore.
*sigh* I can't wait for CNY. I'm tired of working.

Everyday is a rainy day. It's nice to just slack at home, curl up in my bed with a book and listen to the pitter-pattering sound of the rain. That was what I did on Saturday. I had been so busy with work these days, thanks to the year-end stocktaking and accounting stuffs. So u guys have no idea how thrilled I was when I learnt that I did not have to go back on Saturday.
Oh,I went back to school with jinx on Friday to take a look at the Huang Cheng auditions. I can't wait for them to start work soon. I missed Huang Cheng. Haha, soonsypoo came a tad too late, so he didn't get to see anything at all. He was complaining about his cashier job. We were thinking it's a pity that no rich tai-tais offered to "yang3" him. But he has gotten a teaching job already and is starting work soon. Ha, so has xuefen. Haix, too bad I diden get one. But I don't really mind cos I'm quite ok with my job now. Money makes the world go round mah. =)
Met up with Ade on Sunday. It was the day after her birthday. Passed her her birthday present, which is the winnie-the-pooh crossstitch which I had been working on almost everyday for the past 2 weeks. Yup, and thanks Ade for the early birthday present. It's that 4-leave clover necklace from bits n'pieces. Haha, I have been eyeing it for a long time already. *Muacks* This is the 2nd necklace I have received this week. My godma gave me a platinum star necklace on friday. =)
Come to think of it, I think I'm a lucky girl. I have a wonderful family and friends who are always there for me. And I think I'm happy most of the time. =) I guess I will continue to be in a good mood these days, that is, until the release of the A'level results. I hope it won't get pushed forward due to the early release of the O'level results. I'm starting to get panicky now. People at work know that I'm from HC and they all think that I'm going to get 4As. Argh, my foot. I'll be lucky to scrape 2As. Maybe I'll quite my job on the day before the release of results. I don't want to answer their questions when I go back the next day.
Oh, and i just realised that almost the whole world is attached now. Haix.

You guys don't know how lucky you are to be able to go to school everyday.
Was on my way to work today and I saw lots of students in their uniforms, carrying their backpacks, getting ready to go to school. Ha, TS happened to msg me at that time and was asking me how does it feel to not go to school when sch reopens. The answer is, I feel sad, really sad and old, and lonely. =( To all juniors out there, do treasure your school life. You'll know how I feel after you guys have graduated next year.
Oh, something to say here. Mu Chuan is such a nice place. Great ambience, great people and of course, great songs. It ended on a teary note though as they were singing dang ni gu dan and fen xiang at the end. I dunno why, but tears just fell and all of a sudden, I was feeling really sad.
Argh. can't wait for the weekend to come. Work is so stressful. Feel like screaming and storming out of the office at times. Hmm, but before that could happen, a little voice at the back of my mind will be constantly saying"Think money, Alice. THINK OF THE MONEY." and I'll be fine again. LOL.
January is a great month, with some holidays here and there, CNY and haha, my(and xueli's) special day.
Can't wait to visit Chinatown, eat the new year goodies and receive angbaos! =)
