Big Walk!

I went for the 1st ever TNP Big Walk of my life!

I diden know that S'poreans are that health-conscious and so enthusiastic about this annual event. We were super surprised to see so many people, both young and old, decked in the Big-Walk Tee in the wee hours of the morning.

I can't believe we walked 10km! We diden cheat at all, unlike some walkers who crossed over and U-turned halfway. Hoho. I felt a super huge sense of achievement the moment I reached the end-point. =) The Big Walk this year is quite a historic one as it would be the last Big Walk from the National Stadium. Heard that the stadium will be torn down to make way for a new stadium??
*sigh* Why are all things old and historic in S'pore revamped and altered?

We met up again in the evening to watch The Da Vinci Code at the new Cathay CIneplex. Our show was being screened at The Grand Cathay cinema, and boy, was it grand. The seats were super super plushy, spacious and comfortable, so much so tt I almost dozed off at some point in time. The decor was also super grand and pretty, and the cinema was so big that it felt more like a concert hall to me. Must go for movies there next time! The seats alone are worth the money. =D

Da Vinci Code the movie. Hmm, the essence is all in the book I would say. The movie was OK. It's just moving scenes from the book to the screen. It's hard to capture the essence of the book in the movie as the movie will be super lengthy if they were to explain many of the underlying meanings behind the paintings, the codes etc. Oh, and the transition between scenes were quite awkward. Not as bad as what I have heard, but not very very impressive either. But still, it's nice to see the scenes come to life for those who have read the book.

No work tml! haha! I can wake up late! Wee~
