How I wish this super long break will never end.

When can we ever slack like that again, with no homework, no dreadful tests or work (in the near future) to bother us with? I guess the answer is: Not ever again. Bleah.

Anyway, this week had been a rather nice and easy week for me, with me doing the things I had long wanted to do, like playing Mahjong and Bridge with my friends (I am making progress at the game of Mahjong!), watching X-Men3(like, finally), eating Pepper Lunch (sizzles), going to the gym and buying my first-ever digicam!

I am now an elated owner of the new Casio Exfilm Z600! My dad sponsered half the amount, thus I felt less pain when I purchased that darling camera.

Oohh, I will be super busy in july, with a major activity lined up for me every week.

First up, trip to Redang from 2nd to 6th July.
Next in line, HK trip from 10th to 14th July.
And there's the orientation on the 3rd or 4th week of July (I have not decided on which one to go).

Busybusybusy. Haha.

Oh, it's rumoured that the selection process for a particular camp is based on looks. Hmm, that explains the need for a photo? So if I do get shortlisted for the camp, the rumours are not true. On the other hand, if I am not down for the camp, the rumours should be true indeed. Maybe I should send in the picture of a B/C Class Taiwanese or Japanese actress.

LOL.

The concert which I had been counting down to was over in a flash!

I wish I could watch it all over again!

Anyway, the money was well-spent, for the cool outfits, for the nicely-cheoreographed dance steps, for the live band and of course, JJ's flawless singing.
It was such a pleasure to hear him sing live!

Oh, and it was the 1st time I witnessed a full house for a concert at our indoor stadium! The place was totally packed! Lots of artistes and deejays went to support him, alongside thousands of fans from S'pore, M'sia, Taiwan, China and Japan.

He is definitely our national treasure! Absolutely no doubts about that! That's what I call an all-rounded artiste. He composes nice songs, he handles singing, rapping and dancing effortlessly. Woah. I am impressed. However, I was not impressed by the fact that despite singing over 30 songs, he actually forgot to include hits like hui you na mo yi tian and dong jie in his list!! How could he!! Those were songs I like very very much! Boo.

I think it will be another 3 to 4 yrs before he opens another concert. Meanwhile, there's still Lee Hom's concert to look forward to. =D

I am looking forward to the month of july cos I am finally going overseas! Woo!

In the mean time, I shall go dig out all my JJ CDs and immerse myself in the world of JJ's music all over again. =)

Liberation!

Today marks the start of my slacking days! I have finally quitted my job! No more work for me till the start of school! I had been slogging my guts out since december lah, so I guess I don't feel that guilty for quitting and slacking so early??

Anyway, a big THANK YOU to Bertieboo for landing me this job. The fact that it pays well is besides the point. Most importantly, I have really learned a lot over the past few months. I appreciate the fact that the management thinks highly of me, trust me totally and gave me ample opportunities to constantly learn new things. It's more stressful than normal temp jobs, but at least I learnt how to close accounts, value inventories, estimate the cost price of a product( in this case diaries, calendars etc), pretending to be busy(oops) and of course, how to build up a good relationship with my colleagues.

In fact, I felt kind of sad during the last day. Sad that I am leaving my wonderful colleagues, but nevertheless relieved that I have escaped from the life-threatening mid-yr stocktake. I received a few gifts and an unexpected huge soft toy from one of the manager. My clique at work pooled in their resources and treated me to lunch - delivery from Oishi Pizza, which btw, offers super yummy flavours like kimchi chicken, unagi with leek, wasabi seafood etc. *smacks lips*

And that marks the end of my working stint.

Oh, I had been seeing tons of familiar faces around at JP due to the NTU medical checkup. I got a nice surprise when I bumped into Jaime, 2 of her friends and her mum yesterday. We just talked and talked and I ended up walking with them for awhile. Good to catch up with her. Look forward to seeing her in school.

Speaking of the checkup, fret not people, it's super duper fast. Haha. I think it lasted for less than 3 mins? Or maybe it's because I reached near lunchtime and the doctor was eager to go off for lunch? Hehe.

Yay~ 4 more days to JJ's concert! =)

What would you do if you never met 1? (Jinx) Cry! I would not have a great buddy who went through thick and thin with me. She was an indispensible part of my jc life! XC, 61 and LEP moments were spent largely with her! No Jinx = No gay moments. Haha.

What would you do if 20 and 9 dated? (Lumpy and YT) Nothing. Let them be! I have nothing against lesbians!

Did you ever like 19? (Jessie) Like her as a friend of cos, but not in other ways cos I am straight! :)

Would 6 and 17 make a good couple? (xf and cuiyi) Of course! They are both my Flab Club members. They will have a great time pigging out and lazing around together.

Describe 3. (SK) I am gonna get whacked by him, but here goes: Temperamental, vain, cheena, lame, affeminate, weird, but caring in some ways and passionate about the things he wants.

Do you think 8 is attractive? (Jas) Of course! I have always thought that she's very photogenic. :)

Tell me something about 7. (Eileen) Her surname is Loo. Haha. She and I goes a long way back. We were in the same class all the way from pri3 to sec4, the same CCAs in HC and now, attending the same Uni. Oh, she has a super loud voice and she's also an attractive girl who has gained lots of unwanted attention (*winkx* ah-hem).

Do you know any of 12's family? (ZY) His elder bro is SY, also from HC, though I dunno him personally.

What's 8's favourite? (Jas) Artiste: Energy! And I guess her fav activity now should be Mapling bah. She's totally crazy over maplestory.

What would you do if 11 confesses that he/she likes you? (Timo) Haha. Shocked cos I am not his type at all.

What language does 15 speak? (Ade) English, Mandarin and Gibberish at times.

Who is 9 going out with? (YT) No one. But she usually goes out with us girls or her gang of brothers. -_-''

How old is 16 now? (Mengni) 19, but her mental-age should be 30 or 40 plus cos she's super naggy and her behaviour is super Auntie-ish. :)

When was the last time you talked to 13? (Yuf) 2 weeks ago when we all went out.

Who's 2 favourite band/singer? (Kia) Energy! Leo ku, zhang dong liang.

Would you date 4? (ah fai) No lah. He will die.

Would you date 7? (Eileen) Nope. I am straight. But some people is dying to date her hor....;)

Is 15 single? (Ade) From what she last told me..Nope!

What's 10's last name? (Damian) Yeo. Meeehhh. Da Mian Yang. So tt's why he's called sheepy. The evil sheepy.

Would you ever be in a serious relationship with 11? (Timo) Of course. How can I disregard the friendship between us! Haha.

Which school does 3 go to? (SK) Serving NS now but going to NTU I suppose. :)

Where does 6 live? (xf) Jurong West, near Jurong Point.

Whats your favourite thing about 5? (KL) She enjoys talking crap with me and is ever so understanding. ;) And she bakes nice cookies!

i tag.. no one. Cos I think the whole world has already been tagged. =)

World Cup!

Friday, June 09, 2006
Today marks the start of the FIFA World Cup! Woo! I had been mad about it since France '98. I can't wait for all the exciting matches ahead!

And guess what people?

I WENT TO THE ZOO!!

The whole gang went and we had lots of fun! The weather was really good, mostly cloudy with a little bit of sunshine. Perfect. Anyway, it's been what,7 yrs since I last went to the zoo. Thus we were damn excited about the trip.

Honestly, I felt sad when I see some of these animals cos they belong to the wild and they seem so restricted, so lonely in their enclosed area. And there were stupid crows and mynahs pecking on the bodies of animals like rhinoceros, camels and giraffees, till the extent that they bleed! Damn saddening.

But but, at least I know most of these animals are well taken care of by the zookeepers and I was so delighted to see sooo many animals up close and discover many unknown facts about them! The sun bears looked just like the bears from the movie "Brother Bear"! The baby orang utan was sososo sweet! And do u guys know, there are NO tigers AT ALL in Africa; they can only be found in Asia. And similarly, there are NO lions AT ALL in Asia; they can only be found in Africa. I diden know that!! Haha.

The best thing of all: I GOT TO SEE KANGAROOS up close! There's this Australian Wild place where u can see kangaroos hopping about, going *boing boing* all around you. So cool huh? Ohoh, and I love the elephants cos they were so lovable, sucking up water with their trunks and spraying them at their fellow elephants. Haha.

I wanna go visit again! =)

Off to watch the opening match in 20 mins' time. Hooray!

I have tendered my resignation! Alice the workaholic is finally going to stop work after 6 mths!! Felt a little bad cos it's the peakpeak period now and they need an experienced temp staff at this point in time. But the thing is, I am tendering becos it's the peakpeak period! Haha. The managers looked a little sad lah cos apparently, they love me and trust me a lot. I feel mean, but, they dun expect me to sell my life to the company right? and work there for the rest of my life??!! HA. TIME TO SLACK. And yes, you guys can start dating me for outings! Muahaha.

Oh. I went for HCCO's concert yesterday and boy, do I miss HC. Seeing all those familiar faces, cheering together with the juniors and seniors reminded me of the good old days back in HC. *sobx* The concert was quite enjoyable I would say. Short and sweet. There were some flaws here and there, but that doesn't really matter. =) *sigh* I missed playing in CO.

And people, you will be shocked to hear this, cos recently, I have been hooked onto those Chinese songs from the 80's and 90's! Especially those which are a little sad and sappy. And 经典歌曲九连环 has became one of my favourite radio programs recently. Shit. Am I growing old or what?

I am a very contented girl. =) Life is good. There's nothing much I can ask for already, save for a prince charming to appear in my life. ;)
