I havn't updated for almost a week! Hmm, let's see what was I busy with.
Cafe-ing and roaming about Little India with SK and co on Saturday, crazy K-ge session with XC on Sunday and basically slacking through Mon and Tues. Ohwell.
KL and I are collecting the keys to our room tmr! Whooopee! Hall life sure looks exciting! Hall 15 anyone??
The irony of it all is that, my home seems to be nearer to the Biz Sch than my hall! *applause please* How wonderful.
Oooh, and I went to Hall2 today to visit Qipei,Lingwei and Jaime (their toilet mates). They were busy cleaning up and they bought lots of nice stuff from IKEA. I shall do my room up nicely too. =) I could feel the "xiao yuan qi xi" when I was roaming about the halls. Butbut, I am still not ready for sch!! I wanna slack some more!!
After they were done with their cleaning, I accompanied Lingwei to JP to buy some stuff before meeting my ex-colleagues for dinner. It's been a month since I last saw them! They are still as crappy as before.
Ok, posting some pics up here from my recent outings!

I haven gone for any FOCs at all! I think most of my friends around me hasn't either. Haha, the thought of trying to be enthusiastic and running about puts me off. But still, I am going for the Hall Camp! Hope they won't pick and select their campers, unlike that particular camp. Tsktsk. Hall Camp seems cool! I am looking forward to it!
Anyway, I thought this week would be a stay-at-home week for me. Turns out that there's random outings here and there, and I ended up going out everyday for the whole of this week, all the way from Mon till Sun!! My life is so happening huh. ;)
Ooooohh! Anyone watching Love at 0 degree on Ch8? I am so in love with Elvin Ng!! He's sooo charming!! I had been nuts about him ever since I first saw him on TV 2yrs ago! Hehe.
Speaking of TV progs, I think Superband is so much more enjoyable than Singapore Idol2. I found myself cringing whenever the idols are belting out their numbers. I think the contestants from the 1st season were so much better than the ones in the 2nd season. And it doesn't help that there's a panel of judges who gives remarks which leaves everyone clueless(e.g Florence Lian and Jacintha). Sigh. Seriously, they should just stop at Season 2.

Back from HK!

Lei ho!
I am back from HongKong! Feeling very happy cos I can't believe I just went to HK! Haha. Happy, but broke at the same time.
Have to thank WY and her family for being such great hosts, for bringing us around and making us feel welcomed. Her little cousin is damn cute(but horrendously noisy) by the way. Though HK's public transportation system is rather well-developed, it is always a bonus to have someone who knows their way to bring us around.
4 plus days there and we rode on almost all the public transports! Normal buses, public light buses(aka those mini-vans), ferry(to HongKong Island), MTR, light rail, taxis...u name it, we took it. LOL.
HongKong is a great place for shopping! You see shopping centres and rows of shops all around you. I was practically swimming in the sea of shops selling clothes. Stuff there are not dirt cheap like Bangkok's, but they are still relatively cheaper than Singapore's, plus there's a wider variety. One thing I got to mention is the Esprit stuff there. T-shirts prices mostly range between S$10-S$20. I bought 2 shirts, 1 jacket and 1 pair of pants for only SGD70 bucks! I can't even buy a pair of pants here with this amount of money! Oh, and u can get Adidas(plus some other brands) products at super low prices at their warehouse outlets. Cool huh. Can see why I went mad there.
Another thing worth mentioning is the dim sum and desserts in HK. I have never tasted such delicious
siew mais n
ee mian before! OMG. I can practically eat dim sum everyday if I live in HK. And yes, the renowned dessert shop Xu Liu Shan serves super yummy desserts. Kia went Mango-crazy(the fruit) there. LOL.
We went to all the famous districts like Mongkok, Causeway Bay, Central, Tsim Tsha Tsui, but not Disneyland, ShenZhen and Macau though. 4 days is simply not enough to go visit all the places. Hmm, shall go explore other unvisited places should I go HK again next time!
I like HK for those big flashy signboards u see everywhere on the streets, the different type of buses u see on the road, the friendly people and the mix of high-end, normal shopping centres and street markets all in one place. It's a little messy, crowded, yet endearing at the same time.
I should learn more Cantonese from now on, to better communicate with the people there the next time I go HK. =)
And haha. Life is full of surprises. I am super amazed. Ohwell.

Redang!

I am back from Redang!
Was away from Sun till Thurs. Missed me ya?
Anyway, Pulau Redang was simply beautiful!! Have no idea where the hell I am referring to? It's the place where they filmed Xia Ri Mo Mo Cha (
*cues: Lang hua yi duo duo)
The trip by coach to Terengganu state was around 9hrs, afterwhich we gotta take a 1hr ferry ride before we arrive at the beautiful island! The beach was damn pretty!
Crystal clear water, different shades of blue and white white sand! It simply took my breath away. We spent a lot of time by the beach, tanning, building sandcastles and riding the waves! No wonder it's called Re Lang Dao in Chinese, there's a lot of waves indeed! But they are all rather gentle and it's quite fun to just jump and bob along with the waves. The water was still quite shallow even when you go further away from shore, so we could just splash about in the sea as much as we want to!
Take a look!

Us on the ferry!

See 3 shades??

Pretty!!

Ahhhh....

Haha. Resembles those pictures from blog layouts.

Beautiful sunrise..

The More More Tea Inn!
Oh, I forgot to mention about the food! Imagine having buffet-style meals for all your 3 meals! There's a huge variety! Be it Western, Malay, Chinese or Indian, you name it, they have it. There's like, people frying pancakes, pratas and all kinds of egge for you, plus a whole table of food like bread, sausages, fried noodles, nasi lemak, congee, chee cheong fan for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, there's people frying kway teow, making satay for you, on top of the buffet food which includes all kinds of meat, veggie, soup(both western and chinese). Then there's also fruits and dainty kuehs for desserts! I think we gorged ourselves silly with those food! This is bad for the waistline. Argh.
Come on, drool!!

Yum!

Yumyum!
On top of the great food and beautiful beaches, the service was great too! The workers there are all very nice, easy-going and friendly. I guess being faraway from the hustle bustle of the city and the scrutiny of the rat race accounts for their laid-back attitude. There's simply an air of innocence and sincerity around them. =)
Oh, it's not all about tanning by the beach. They have mass dances by the beach every evening and a live band playing at the beach bar every night. It's really fun to dance along with lots of people on the beach or just sip on a glass of cocktail while listening to the live band.
Sad to say, I diden went snorkelling due to my phobia of water. The others did though and they got to see beautiful corals and cute little fishes like the nemo fish!
And after 3-4 days at the island resort, we became super tanned. I am starting to peel now. Argh.
That basically sums up my trip! If u guys want a truly relaxing holiday, do consider Redang Island! It's a totally different form of holiday!
Oh man, I am starting to miss the place already. Haha, even dreamt of myself bobbing along with the waves. =)

I suddenly had the urge to listen to CO music.
Thus I dug out the Tian Lai Hui Yin VCD early this afternoon.
And boy, do I miss CO, miss life as a HC student in general.
I wonder how life as a uni student would be like, and what kind of people I will meet. Most of my friends are going to the same Uni as me, but I am gonna miss people like Jinx,hf,Sheepy,zy,timo,karen,bertieboo... People whom I see and talk to everyday for the past 2yrs. :( Can't help but feel absolutely weird that I won't get to see them that often next time. Ohwells.Anyway, I am off to Redang tommorrow! White sand, clear blue sea and cloudy skies awaits me! Woo! Don't miss me! =)
