Farewell, 2009!

又这样过了一年。

2009 可称得上是我人生的转捩点。A year full of changes and unexpected twists and turns.

Everything felt so surreal to me. Really cannot imagine that we were still rushing our FYPs, attending lessons and taking our exams in the exams hall early this year. And of course, not to forget our arduous journey in search of a job admist the economic downturn.

Then there was the grad trip which many of us had that officially marked the end of our student life and the wait for interviews and job offers.

Still vaguely remembered that my friends and I were feeling very lost at the beginning of the year, wondering where on earth will we be and what will we be doing at this time of the year. But as the saying goes, 船到桥头自然直， I'm really glad to see that all of us have found jobs and are doing well now! =))

And speaking of jobs, I am really thankful to have gotten my job now - reasonable pay, nice and fun colleagues, caring and generous superiors and an environment (almost) free from cutting throat politicking. What more can I ask for? 人要懂得知足！:)

Clearing the cobwebs once again

It's been a long long time since I last updated.

Pardon for the lack of updates.

Nothing exciting happening in my life right now actually, which explains the lack of movement in my blog.

Have settled comfortably into the life of an OL - replying emails, thinking about where to go for lunch everyday, squeezing onto the MRT and of cos, lamenting about how the weekend it never enough! And before I know it, 3 months has passed since I started working!

But I am not complaining cos everything's going great so far! Love the amount of freedom and flexibility I get and also, the fun people around me! Seriously, it feels more like working on school projects than work to me..=))

Perhaps I should just do a recap of the major events over the past 2 months:

1.) Convocation (July)

It marked a wonderful ending to the end of my Uni life. But is also signifies the start of another chapter of my life.=))

Thank you RSPHI, THM babes, HR lovelies, Year 1 mates and Fifteen's gals for the beautiful memories in NTU. A short, but fulfilling three years in Uni...:)

2.) HC MAF 2009

Perhaps it's due to the fact that we diden go back last year, I felt somewhat very excited about MAF this year.

Met up with some of the 04S61 gals in the afternoon and I had a great time catching up with them! :)

Headed over to HC in the evening and ya, we did the same old things - talk to miss wong, go reading room, squeal, take pictures, watch the light-up at the Central Plaza, sang the hwa chong songs and (watched) the mass dance..

But nevertheless I still enjoyed it (despite doing the same old stuff every year)!

Miss miss miss my days in HC, where we slacked at the class bench, played bridge, nua in the library, pon lectures, secretly laugh at our tutors and of course, I missed being in huang cheng the most..:D

MAF never fails to bring back those wonderful memories for me, especially when singing those 华初 chinese songs..歌词依然感动我。。。

And we are on to October now, which means that X'mas is nearing once again..It's really quite scary to see time passing by so quickly..

But still, I am feeling blessed cos there's nothing much for me to complain about right now! :)

The weekend is approaching again! =)

Despite the fact that I am enjoying work, I still miss life as a student terribly! To be frank, the week passes by rather quickly when you are working. Before you know it,it will be Wednesday and Friday will arrive shortly! But this also means that the weekends will fly past quickly too! Sad!

Heh, and i SPLURGED like mad the moment I received my first pay. Bought more clothes and this:

It's one of the most expensive (non-gadgety) thing I have ever bought in my life! But I had been eyeing it for a long long time! So ya, can't help but splurge on it! =)

New chapter of my life..

Have just started work on 1st July and embarked on a new chapter of my life.

Surprisingly, work turns out to be great!! My directors and supervisors are super nice and funny (said to be the nicest among all departments) and my colleagues are a bunch of super fun and dynamic young people!

They had been bringing us around, showing us all the nicest places for lunch! And the location of my workplace is great too! Lots of places with good food within walkable distance! =D And the best thing is...there are lots of training opportunities and events lined up for us!

On top of that, the place has just undergone some renovations before I came in. Hehe, so my cubicle, chair, desk and PC are all spanking new!! =D

Work mainly consists of readings now, but it is interesting to read about the policies and stuff. And I am looking forward to some of the upcoming projects too..=)

It's really a blessing in disguise that I did not get through some of my previous interviews. I am contented with what I have, at least for now! =D

Had been indulging in a lot of -me- time ever since I came back from Taiwan.

Will be starting work on 1st July in the public sector and hence I would wanna spend the 1 month holiday I have left meaningfully!! =)

And I think I had been doing a good job so far!

Sunday was spent at the National Library and Bugis area. Borrowed some books to keep myself occupied on days when I have nothing to do. Walked over to Burlington Square for dinner (alone) as I had a serious craving for some ass-kicking Tom Yam. This stall was highly recommended by Channel U, as well as your truly. =D

*smacks lips*

The sotongs, fish and prawns that were swimming in the Tom Yam soup were uberly fresh and the soup was sangat sedap!! My second time eating there and I still have not gotten enough of it. =)

Alps, Sab and I met up with Bel (who started work in May) for lunch at the Great World City area on Monday. The hawker centre was full of OLs. Goodness, cannot imagine joining their league in a few months' time. Haha, and it seems like all of us have sold our lifes to the gahmen...Went for the Kangxi Exhibition at Asian Civilisation Museum with Alps and Sab after that. It was quite a cool exhibition which presented the different facets of 康熙 and the Manchurians' ruling of the Qing Dynasty.

Tuesday was another -me- day again. Went down to Tanjong Pagar to sign my contract and took the opportunity to explore the area there after that. Popped by Tanjong Pagar Plaza to grab some muffins from Chocs and Spice and boy, were they yummy! =D
Shopped around Orchard, hoping to find some decent clothes and stock them up for work in July. Speaking of shopping, I miss the shopping in Taiwan, apart from the food and scenery. Here's my loot from Taiwan:

And I am turned off by the price of most stuff ever since I got back. Luckily there's still the GSS and I had been buying something everyday when I go out, be it shoes or clothes cos my wardrobe is totally lacking OL-like clothes which I desperately need.

Went for pre-employment medical check-up today at Raffles Medical. Am as fit as a fiddle and I think I grew by 1cm! My goodness, can't I stop growing? Decided to conquer the heartlands today and set off for AMK hub after my check-up. Felt like watching a movie and thus I caught Angels and Demons at AMK's Cathay. Have forgotten the plot cos I read the book like 3 years ago? But it was still an enjoyable show in my opinion.

And I will be going for picnic tomorrow with my HR friends! =))

It's been a great great hols so far! Hoping for more happy days to come! Whee~

New chapter of my life

Sorry for the lack of updates. Was busy with school and grad trip planning for the past 2 months.

And time sure flies....

School has finally ended (for good) and I am back from my grad trip already!! Really dun want all these happy moments to end but that's what makes them so special at the same time yea?

Will be blogging about my 10 days Taiwan trip once I have gotten hold of all the photos!

It was a great trip with wonderful company in a beautiful place..And I am missing Taiwan badly already!

Now that the fun is over, it's time to embark on a new chapter of my life. I am not sure of what the future holds, but I will take things slowly in my stride and make the best out of whatever life offers me. =))

Happy Valentine's Day to all my dear friends! =))

Nope, I am not spending it with anyone special. I am actually in Jurong Library now, doing my FYP! Shall head over to JP later on to catch a glimpse of JJ Lin!

Sorry for the lack of updates cos I have been quite busy with my projects (what's new) lately.

Let's see what happened in the last 2 weeks:

1. My 22nd Birthday

Thank you once again for all your wishes! =) As I grow older, I realised that your birthday is just like any other day. Nothing special, really. And whether I get presents or not is not really that important. What matters most is that my friends actually remembered..A simple sms from everyone of you guys is enough to make my day! =)

But still, thank you friends for the vouchers, bag and mp3. =D

2. Sending Jas off

Our dear Jas has gone off to Australia for INSTEP. Have lots of fun cos I am sure it will be a good break for you! Will miss you lots! Help me hug the koalas and kangaroos! =D

3. FYP
Thank you Mad and Sab for being such wonderful FYP mates! It's amazing that we managed to get so many interviews from those funny big shots! Tough as it is, I am sure we can make it! So let's jiayou together! =))

4. HR
And yes, I had been quite busy over this non-examinable module. It's a total waste of my time. Have u seen a 4hr-seminar with 45 mins break, almost entire lesson dedicated to group discussion on readings and a lecturer who sits and watch 5 groups present on the same stuff? And nope, the lecturer hasn't started teaching anything yet!!

Luckily there's still my lovely HR friends to tide through this with me! Classes are much more enjoyable with u guys around. And it was great chatting with you guys over buffet lunch at the Executive Cafe the other day. =D

5. Meet ups
Met up with Beng, Jinx, El, Meat and Damian recently. It's been more than a year since we got together. It was really great talking to them..I miss HC, I miss LEP and I miss Huang Cheng sososo much. We were 17 or 18 when we first knew each other and in a blink of an eye, we are all in our early twenties..It's amazing how quickly time flies...We have all grown up, but then again, we are still pretty much the same. Haha. =)) I miss that kind of warm and fuzzy feeling. Let's meet up again when Beng and Meat comes back again!

6. Career Fair
It was a great effort, but I think some of the employers do not know what they were here for. Company XX was actually looking for senior managers with at least 3 to 4 years of experience and shooed us off when we asked them about openings for fresh grads. That's like so duh. Can't you see where you have set up your booth? Haha, but it was kinda fun though cos I managed to kope some free souvenirs. *lol*

But on a more serious note, I gotta start sending out my resumes more aggreesively now. Eyeing a few companies...But still, everything looks bleak to me currently.

Back to FYP! And maybe some retail therapy later! =D Ciao!

Saya suka hari Rabu kerana sekolah sudah tamat! (I like Wednesday because school has ended!)

Hee, yours truly is taking Bahasa Melayu during her last semester in NTU! =)) Am taking it for enrichment purposes actually.

OH GOSH, I can't believe this is the last semester of my Uni life! I am so gonna miss school! Then again, I am worried about not being to get a job too. It really sucks to be at this stage of your life.

校园像是社会的避风港..就快离开避风港了，但我却没做好心理准备去面对现实。

This is gonna be a short short semester with almost zero exams, but rather, tons of projects on top of FYP. Speaking of FYP, we are having lotsa fun so far cos we get to go around the different sectors in the tourism industry to interview different people!

We have interviewed the boss of Bollywood Veggie and the general manager of the Philatelic Museum so far, as well as conducted a teleconference with the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing of Marina Bay Sands! =))

Met up with 4Freakx in the evening. It's been ages since I last saw time! It was great catching up with everyone. Some things never change. PL, Aaron and co still behave the way they did back in Sec 3 -_-. It's really amusing to watch them talk to one another.

PL sent us home after that and er, it was quite an exciting ride home as we hear him curse and swear and manoeuvre his way down the highway. But he punctuates his sentences with significantly fewer vulgarities as compared to the days in RV, so yar, that's quite encouraging. =))

And Saturday was Reunion dinner with RSPHI! Lo Hei!! We were all geared up to watch Ponyo at GV@Tiong Bahru (Over 100 of us) and I was sososo looking forward to it for the entire week.

But just when we were about to go in, the staff said "Oh, Ponyo cancelled already. You never see this ah? *points to a piece of A4 paper scotchtaped to a pillar next to the entry point*" We were freaking pissed cos we booked over 100 tickets! They could have sent a rep to inform us and suggest an alternative movie for us or even call us cos I am sure they have our contact numbers!

After some negotiating, they changed it to Red Cliff for us instead. Ended up sitting at the rather front seats. Nvm about that cos the movie was great! Totally awesome! =)) Inspired me to borrow 三国 books to read again!

An eventful week indeed huh..and guess what? I am falling sick again! Hope I recover soon cos I dun wanna miss out on the good food on CNY and my birthday! =((

Goodbye 2008....Hello 2009!

Am home now watching countdown on TV instead of going down to Marina Bay to watch fireworks like what I did last year. I am too lazy to squeeze and jostle with the crowd. Besides, I am not feeling very well. The feasting and partying over the past few days have finally taken their toll on me I guess..I am down with gastric flu! =((

2008 had indeed been a tumultuous year for the world. Earthquakes, terrorist attacks and the worst recession ever all occurred within a span of one year. It was a totally packed any busy year for me too. No wonder 2008 is over in a flash!

21st Birthdays, internship, Hong Kong trip, FYP, the super hectic Year3 Sem 1 with(digusting)CESIM and (horrible)BH325 (but all the hard work paid off I guess cos i have gotten the best grades ever in my Uni life), the new JP..it's indeed a year full of changes.

Really hope that the world will be a better place in 2009. And that all the graduating students of this year will land themselves a good job. It's really our luck to be graduating at such bad times.

But as always, I feel blessed to have a great family and bunch of friends around me!

Thank you for everything, for being my friends, for being there for me!! Alice feels loved!!!

Loving the new Jurong Point!!

To those who returns to NTU during the new semester, you will be in for a shock cos Jurong Point has became freaking huge!!

I think they have moved the entire town over here cos there's just so many shops!!
A few friends smsed me to exclaim their disbelief over JP's makeover. I diden expect much initially until I stepped foot in the new wing on Friday and was almost blown away by the scale of the new wing (they call it JP2).

You name it, JP has it!! There are eateries like 鼎泰丰, Thai Express, New York New York, BK,记得吃; apparel shops like puma, adidas, mphosis, ViVi, PrettyFit, minitoons; a freaking huge bazaar-like section called Marketplace which has those little shops and a million other shops!!

Jurong has officially became a self-sufficient island. I dun even feel like going to town anymore since I can find almost everything here. JP shall be my permanent playground!

Wheeeee! 3 cheers for Jurong for becoming more happening! *lol*

Woots! December is definitely my favourite month of the year! It's a month filled with fun, friends and food!!

Exams ended on 26th Nov and it's hello to freedom after that. Was actually not really concentrating during my last paper cos I was staring at the clock and counting down to the end of exams!! =) My super duper hectic semester has finally came to an end!!!

Hehe, I have just registered my subjects for next semester and guess what? It's a 1 day week for me. But I dun wanna waste my final sem, so I have decided to take an extra elective! Hopefully, I can get my Malay class!! =))

Binged on steamboat with my THM mates after the paper at Bugis and talked about an endless list of things we wanna do.

Went for XT's surprise birthday party on the 28th and boy, was she really surprised. *lol* Oh, but we missed the last train by 2 minutes and I gotta take bus 197 all the way from Bedok to Jurong East and cabbed home from there after that. But I love taking buses so it diden really bother me. =))

Went K-ge yesterday and it seems like the whole of NTU was in Chinatown. Bought some beads and charms from Chinatown point, shall attempt to make a necklace myself.

Kia and Jinx were complaining that I have not been blogging for quite long, so blog I shall!

Haha, it's not that I am lazy to blog, it's just that the avalanche of projects this semester was killing me. Have not been getting enough sleep this semester thanks to the never ending projects!

So I am really glad that they are all over now!!! Finally have the luxury of time to sit down and mug instead of chiong-ing slides and reports. Haha, but it's not like I have a lot of time left..like 5 more days? *shit*

Anyway, met up with Jinx, Kia and SK on Friday to eat and shun bian (yes, shun bian) celebrate SK's belated birthday. We had Teppanyaki at JP! My first time having Japanese Teppanyaki with a chef cooking my food right in front of me! =) Nice food I must say, though I came out smelling like the restaurant. *lol*

It's been ten thousand years since I last blogged.

This indicates how busy I am.

This is my busiest semester ever in my entire Uni life. Goodness. Didn't someone mentioned before that final year was supposed to be slack? So this is the meaning of slack huh?

The projects are super xiong and there's not one, but tons of them to clear, on top of the FYP!!

My supposedly 3 day week for this sem has somehow evolved into a 5 day (or even 6 day) week. And the workaholic in me decided to take up IS1 and The Winning Formula (TWF) sessions on top of my busy schedule. But yay, both are coming to an end soon! So I will be able to breathe a little better once they are both over!

Speaking of TWF, it's been a fruitful professional imaging workshop. Six 4-hr sessions packed with lots of tips for self-discovery and improvement. Haha, I love the make-up session most cos it taught the noob like me what is makeup and a good skincare regime is all about. I bought my 1st ever toner, mascara and eyeliner in my life after the lesson lah. *lol* The Finale dinner was as The Legends @ Fort Canning, which was a super ulu place. Received a certificate and G2000 voucher as a token for participation. =)

Life's in a mess now. Worrying about projects, exams and finding a job. If only I could go back to the good old days in RV and HC.

I have disappeared for quite some time. Not that I wanted to, but with the amount of projects and reports due, I hardly have time to do anything else.

How wonderful it is to be the first group to present and hand in reports for almost all the modules I am taking this semester. Ha, and there's this module AB311 with a simulation game that is going to keep me occupied for the whole semester. Everything just sounds so wonderful. On top of that, I still have The Winning Formula workshop and sign lang classes to attend. Woo. Gonna be busy as a bee. I hope I can sail through this sem smoothly. I will need lots of luck.

And after being cooped up in Jurong for the past 2 weeks, I finally got the chance to chill out these few days! Went down to Shokudo @ Raffles City to celebrate Val girl's birthday. We were making such a din there that the people next to us said something like "Yes! They are gone!" when we went to get desserts. *lol* Anyway, the food at Shokudo is nice and affordable. Will definitely patronise the place again next time.

Went for CCA today for a photography session at the Southern Ridges. It started pouring when we were up there, but it was still a nice experience.

Had dinner at Harbourfront and rushed down to esplanade after that to watch fireworks! I love the Singapore Fireworks Festival! It gave us all a chance to see the pretty fireworks! =) They were sososo pretty!

Eileen's 21st!

Happy 21st to our dear girl eileen!

Met up with the babes yesterday to celebrate her birthday. The girl was soso eager to bring us to try the food at Canele @ Robertson Quay cos she has been there before and she found the food super good! We trekked all the way from Clarke Quay MRT and we were happily photo-whoring along the way, not knowing we will get a surprise later. We reached the restaurant at 740pm only to be informed that the kitchen is closed for the day. Boy, were we disappointed!!

Determined to try the good food, we decided to trek all the way to Canele at Raffles City! And I am glad we did cos the food was really quite nice, especially the crepes and ice cream! =)

Oh man, can't believe that school is starting soon!

Life after PA was great. Lots of slacking, you-tubing, shopping and feasting sessions.

Speaking of HF, we had a gathering last Sunday, organised by HF himself. Haha. I think you believe too much in the wonders of facebook. Ended up that most people diden know about the gathering. Anyway, it was still a nice gathering and I got to see Berton and Angela, whom I have not seen for quite a long time! =) On top of that, we finally got the 传说中的chocolate from SK.

Hmm, thanks to hungrygowhere.com, we ended up at Altazzag @ Haji Lane, an Egyptian restaurant I think. The food was quite ok BUT the service was bad. The food took like forever to come and the waiters totally don't understand English at all. We almost fainted from trying to get our orders across to them. Haha. What's with all the rave reviews about this place on hungrygowhere??

And I swear I am going to grow even fatter at the rate I am feasting on good food. Was out with my colleague on Wednesday evening for dinner at Vivo, at some restaurant which I somehow cannot recall the name. Nice ambience, but food was just so-so.

Went to pig out with colleague again on Thursday at Essential Brews. It was a desperate attempt to use up my 10 dollar voucher from there as 31st July was the last day of its validity. Lol. Food was to my liking, so yup, I do recommend this place. =)

And forgetful me realised that today is the last day of the Singapore Garden Festival! Diden managed to find anyone who's free to go with me today, so I decided to go alone! Haha, yes, I so love doing random things by myself. =)

It was a totally great experience at only 3 bucks (concession)! The landscape features totally blew me off! I went crazy taking snapshots of almost all the displays.

Seeing all the pretty flowers totally made my day! Too bad they are all going to be taken down after the exhibition ends.

I feel myself growing fat. This is what happens after PA - no work plus tons of feasting sessions.

Went for dimsum buffet at Miramar Hotel on Saturday with my Farrago friends. Being super hungry and kiasu, we were there before the restaurant opened. But we were not the only ones, cos there were many kiasu and hungry souls just like us too.

And I tell you, we are really well-trained from all the steamboat buffet outings. We sat there from 1130pm all the way till 230pm and were basically eating non-stop!

But hey, the food was quite good for a $15.90++ buffet! The dimsum here was definitely better than the one at Excelsior and (according to YM) Dragongate. =)
So I do recommend this place for cheap and good dimsums! But do note that you have to make reservations though on weekends as this place is actually quite popular among dimsum go-ers.

After that sinful feast, we were off to meet the juniors for a photography exhitbtion at Old School @ Mt.Sophia. I totally love the arty-farty feel of the place! It was uber cool and some of the photos were really nice. Made me feel the urge to pick up my camera and start taking some nice photos.

19th July marked the end of my PA programme.
It's ironic isn't it?

The 1st week of PA, I was counting down to the end of PA. Now that the last day has finally came, I was actually quite sad to leave the place. Work was indeed exciting, but I won't really miss it cos I think school life is still the best. What I would miss is the people there, people who have taught me tons of real-life skills, people who have made my stint there so memorable. So yup, here's a big THANK YOU to my colleagues in ASRS.

Gave a thank-you card to the FOM. She looked quite surprised by this little act of mine. But she is really a nice lady and I am grateful to her for giving me a chance to intern here. =) Bought chocolates for all my colleagues in the FO too to thank them for teaching me so much about life, about the hotel industry. They bought me chocolates, teacakes and treated me to breakfast cos I worked the midnight shift on my last day. LOL. Was kinda touched actually. =)

About one more week to go before the end of my internship.

I will really really miss working with all the wonderful people there!

Had a chalet last week with the Front Office department and it was great hanging out with everyone there, getting to know them more as friends than colleagues. This place seriously has great potential, but there's still some way to go before they can truly earn their status as a five-star luxury spa resort.

My off day today! =)

Time really flies. I am left with 3 weeks of my internship. Will really miss the warm and friendly people there.

Just to keep you guys updated, I am currently at the front office reception now, doing check-ins, check-outs, escorting guests to their rooms and handling guest relations. I was at reservations and the concierge for the previous 5 weeks. Work is really stressful when the hotel is running at full occupancy. It's a kind of challenge I have never faced before as my previous job stints were more accounts and admin related. So yup, it has been a real eye-opener so far. =)

原来年过二十的我们还是可以那么疯狂。

仿佛又回到了初院时的那段日子。

Anyway, this was taken at Damian's 21st. Happy Birthday Damian! No worries about it being boring or chaotic cos it gave us all a chance to meet up and catch up with one another. =)

Anyway, before I know it, week 3 of PA has just passed! And I am enjoying PA a lot! Nice colleagues, nice environment, understanding managers and eye candies! What more can I ask for (except maybe a higher allowance)? *lol*

My life has started falling into a rountine. Wake up, go to work, count down to lunch, lunch, knock off, dinner, sleep and the cycle repeats itself. Have sort of gotten used to it, but I would still very much prefer to attend school.

Going out later for HCCO's concert. What a fun-filled weekend! Haha, but happy moments pass by very quickly. It's hello to work again on Monday. =X

1 week down, 9 more weeks to go for PA! =)

I am having my internship at Ama** Sanctuary Resort,a new 5-star resort in Sentosa owned by Ama** Holdings. I am attached to the Front Office Department and the 1st week of internship was so far so good. I learned more than what I did in my lecture notes. Not exactly tasked with very important duties, but I count myself lucky considering the fact that some of my friends ended up with shitty job scopes. So ya, I am not complaining about anything. =)

One thing I love about the hospitality sector is the fact that everyday is a different day and you get to see all kinds of people. This is a really good opportunity for me to learn more about the operations aspect of a hotel and also, think about what I want to do after I graduate next year. In the meantime, I am looking forward to seeing more exciting stuff in the weeks to come.

And yay, no shift work for me this coming week cos I am with Reservations and will thus be working normal office hours! =)

Worked for 4hrs on Saturday before heading to Siloso Beach to meet my HCCO friends. Hmm, if not for the fact that I was working in Sentosa, I might really give the gathering a miss. But I am glad that I went cos it's been a long time since I last saw my CO friends. Come to think of it, I was not a very enthusiastic member back then cos I was quite busy with the Chinese Society and LEP club activities. I was never really close to the people there, but somehow or rather there was a sense of familiarity all over again when I saw them on Saturday. Was surprised that I actually had so much to say to some of them. In short, I really appreciated the juniors' efforts. I did enjoyed myself. =)

And I took the Sentosa Express for the first time when we left the island. I couldn't recognise any of the attractions at all. It dawned upon me that it's been ages since I really explored Sentosa. Shall do that one day when I end work early.

Attended Huiyun's birthday party on Sunday. Saw my THM friends there and everyone started sharing (or rather, complaining) about their PA experience so far. Just wanna tell everyone to hang in there. It's afterall, only a couple of weeks more before it all ends. Regardless of whether you had a good or bad experience, it's in one way or another, a learning experience to remind you of what you want and what you don't want to go into in the future. So ya, hang in there! =)

To keep my brain cells alive, I went to the library to borrow some books. Finally found 鲁迅's 《狂人日记》at the National Library. Can't wait to read all the short stories inside!

I had the honour of sitting for the LAST exam paper (230pm 2nd May) in NTU.

I had waited too long for this day, so much so that the excitement just kinda died down. Was not particularly exhilarated even after I had handed in my paper.

Engaged in some [Me] time on Thursday. I went out shopping alone! =)
Is it really weird to go out walking on the streets alone? I seriously think there's nothing wrong with dating yourself. Friends who happened to bump into me when I went out alone will always ask me this "Why are you alone?".

I am not a loner of course. But it's good to date yourself once-in-a-while. Be yourself, do whatever you like and go wherever you want! Doesn't that sounds great? Seriously, I don't feel lonely at all whenever I go out alone. It feels so good to walk down the streets alone, taking in all the sights and sounds and letting your thoughts run wild. =)

Next up on my agenda would be catching a movie alone and sitting in a cafe with a book and watch the world go by. =D

Anyway, I was watching 《康熙来了》and 黄靖伦 was singing this song on the show. Have not heard it for such a long time until he sang it on the show. I found the lyrics so true. =)

2 papers down. 2 more to go. And they are like, one whole week away - 30th April and 2nd May.

Argh. 2nd May. I think 99.9% of NTU's population will be partying away by then. This 9 day break between papers is so not helpful at all. I had been you-tubing like nobody's business, watching shows like 超级星光大道三 and 我猜. Oh, but there's representatives from Singapore this time round for 星光. Mediocre performance by them though save for one guy. They were totally outshone by the very competent Taiwanese contestants.

And speaking of exams..I am no longer as ambitious as before. Getting good grades would of course be a bonus to me, but as I come into closer contact with the working world, I realised that grades really ain't anything. A combination of luck, passion and chances is the most crucial factor in landing a person a good job.

And there's an unpolished gem by the name of 王若琳。Heard her songs on radio recently and I must say she's really good. A cross between Tanya, Norah Jones and Corrinne May, her soulful rendition of the various songs clearly sets her apart from the many sweetie pies in the Taiwanese Market. Let's hope that such great music and wonderful vocals won't disappear so soon.

Thursday basically marked the end of BH227. Finally handed in our report and did our presentation as well.

Prof Templer is a really nice professor, very earnest and enthusiastic. Though a little nutty at times cos he laugh at the weirdest point in time. But we are all used to it already. Lol.

Movie Madness

Still managed to catch these two movies recently despite being loaded with tons of projects.

Leap years:

Nice and sweet. Typical love story playing around the idea of an irish origin. Li Lin and Ananda's acting were natural, albeit a little less chemistry between them. Surprised to find myself crying. But it felt good cos' it's been a long time since I cried like that. It was all in all, one good romance film.

Caught 《第一诫》yesterday with one whole bunch of Farrago peepx.

And no, I diden found it scary. I diden even scream at all! Haha, the scenes with ghosts and people dying were morbid and gory than scary. One thing is for sure, this show is definitely not one of those brainless horror films with no plot.
一个字“赞”！剧情紧凑，拍摄手法专业，气氛也凝造得很好。电影开头就埋下了伏笔，剧情紧扣主题，结尾更是令人震撼。

It's the best horror film I have ever watched. The plot was so good that you won't even remember the scary elements in the show. The foreshadowing and flashbacks will make everything fall into place eventually towards the end of the movie. And the twist at the ending was very good. Totally unexpected. Though only 95 mins long, the plot is so powerful that it will keep you thinking for quite some time. Highly recommended!

And I caught 《黄城夜韵》last saturday. Luckily it's far from being a horror. This year's production didn't disappoint us alumni. Made me feel that there's hope all over again. Especially liked the last play. It's been a long time since we had such an interesting and good script. And as usual, I was overwhelmed by all kinds of emotions during 谢幕。

And so, today marks the last day of Recess week. So much for wanting to catch up on my readings. I am still as behind as ever for my readings! Haha.

Spent the recess week going for countless project meetings, internship interviews, doing reports and even going back to school for Accounting Quiz! It turned out to be fine in the end, not as scary as I thought it would be. And speaking of interviews, the CAAS interview session was so..Well, let's just say that it's a typical statutory board in Singapore - elitist, results-oriented, demanding and all that. You get what I mean. Criterion are stringent and I don't have high hopes of getting in too.

Haha, and if you were at the City Hall area this week, you would have seen tons of NBS people doing their projects there. Walked from Raffles Place to City Hall with Mad after our Accounting project on Wed. We got all touristy and took some pictures along the way.

前辈们对新谣与自己梦想的执著真令人感动。
现在的流行歌曲似乎少了新谣那种纯朴清新的色彩。
尤其是梁文福的创作，非常新加坡式，非常生活化。
哈哈，他最伟大的创作无疑是《唱一首华初的歌》。=）

很开心他们能与大家重温那个近乎失去的年代。

The recess week is here!! Time for a break..not.

Goodness, my schedule is more packed than ever, with project meetings, quizzes and internship interviews. This is killing me!!

And speaking of internship, I need lots of luck in getting whatever I want. The market is so competitive now. Count us lucky if we manage to get something we like. I think the economy and market is not as rosy as what they always described it to be. Just went for interview at Grand Hyatt today. Doens't look too optimistic to me. Let's see how everything goes. =)

And...2 more friends flew off this week! No wonder the school feels so empty this semester. Everyone's gone for exchange!

The long-awaited CNY holidays came and went by so quickly.

As we grow older, the excitement of such holidays just dies down. It's great to gather at some relatives' place and catch up with one another. Haha, but the potato couch in me would rather stay at home and watch videos! =)

But I still like reunion dinner cos there's always nice food on the table! Went to a restaurant in Chinatown with my family on 除夕 for reunion dinner this year. We had a nice stroll down Chinatown (when it was still not too crowded) after dinner before heading home.

Caught "Shanghai Blues" with xf and el on Saturday, which was a little disappointing. I think the leading role is too much for Mindee Ong to handle. And some of the actors' mandarin was totally incomprehensible. Luckily there's still William So and Emma Yong to save the day. I totally love her peformance! =)

And then there's Kge with the RSPHI folks on Sunday evening. It's also a gathering before QH flies off. He must be super touched by our efforts huh? I bet he will miss us like mad. Haha. =)

It's back to school again after such a long break. Time to re-start the engine and gain the mugging momentum! =D

Oh man, I can't believe I am 21!

Anyway, this week had been a week full of celebrations. I diden hold any parties. I met up with different groups of friends instead. I prefer spending quality time with each group of them, rather than have all of them under one setting. =)

First up was the celebration on Sunday with Vaneh, Val girl, Janice and KL at Essential Brews. Thank you so much for the cake and DKNY Be Delicious perfume! That was my very first 21st Birthday cake! I love the perfume too! The scent is super nice! Gonna wear it to school everyday!

Just when I thought there's no more cakes for me on Wednesday, the THM girls surprised me with a cake at Cant B. Diden expect them to buy me a cake so I was really very touched when I saw the cake! =) I am so glad to have the bunch of you with me in THM!

And I officially turned 21 on Thursday! This day was spent with my lovely friends from HC Xuan Chuan. Have not met up with them for sososo long! And beng and meat are back! So it was a great chance for all of us to gather! We ate at Ministry of FooD (MOF), which is actually a Japanese Restaurant. Once again, there was a slice of cake for me(from secret recipe). Thank you guys for the Xin Yao CD set, and Jinx, for the little Pooh Bear and earrings! I miss you guys so much! It was really great to meet up with every single one of you. We are all the same, yet not quite the same even after all these years. Haha. =D Oh well, we are a mismatched bunch of people.

Friday was a day out with my HR group and our honourary member. I ate at Sizzler's for the 1st time. The salad there is freaking nice. But it cost us a bomb. Haha, they brought me to the Fountain of Wealth and posted a dedication on the laser thingy for me. Thanx a lot, though I long suspected what u guys did when we were staying at the Fountain of Wealth area for a little too long. Then came another surprise when we went to Secret Recipe (yes, it's another cake!). But still, I was very touched by u guys! Thanx a million! Time flies whenever I am out with u guys. =)

I am back from Jay Chou's concert!

Haha. I was never a Jay Chou fanatic, not even now. But I had always love his songs and admired his talents. So kudos to him for giving us such a wonderful concert! Can't believe he actually played the 古筝 for the song 《菊花台》. I was betting on 费玉清 to be the guest artiste. But it turned out to be 南拳妈妈， which was even more fantastic cos I had always loved their songs! =)

Anyway, I saw the whole world at the concert. Seems like everyone loves Jay Chou.

To sidetrack a little, I　got an email from Fullerton Hotel regarding the internship! Gotta attend a cocktail session first though before they decide who gets the internship. This is so irritating! Wish me good luck. If not I will just try for Grand Hyatt or CAAS.

It's the weekends again. But there goes my weekend cos there's RSP on sat and karang guni on sunday. And I have tons of readings unread. Boo.

Busy busy busy!

And so, school has started again. Back to the days of printing notes, rushing for tutorials and meeting project deadlines.

It's only the 2nd week of school but I can already feel all the stress building up! This semester looks set to be super hectic.

Was down at Bishan doing Karang Guni, which is part of RSPHI's canvassing efforts. Haha, it's the season for Karang Guni again! My arms and legs were aching like mad when I woke up this morning. Imagine combing blocks of flats, moving mountains of newspapers and electrical appliances like TV and computer monitors for almost the whole day!

This month is going to zoom past super quickly, with all the activities and programmes lined up ahead. Bleah, which means that my 21st birthday is going to arrive soon. Don't really plan to celebrate. Can't be bothered with all the parties, chalets stuff etc. Will just ask a few of my friends out. =)

Hello 2008!

I ended up counting down outside on the last day of 2007. Got an impromptu sms from yt and before we knew it, a few of my RSPHI friends and I were down at the Esplanade area watching fireworks and counting down to the new year!

But what follows was horrible. Got to squeeze our way through the crowd on the way to the MRT. My goodness. I was surprised that there was no stampede or whatsoever.

Woke up early today morning to send Kia off at the airport. Hey, have fun on your GIP@Beijing ok! =)

Walked around alone at the airport after that and took some pictures at of T3. Whee, what a nice lazy morning by myself at the airport! =D

I'm spending the last day of 2007 slacking at home!

It totally beats squeezing with the countdown crowds in town. I think it's the first time in years I'm spending it at home. I will usually be out with my friends, either counting down or staying over at their place. And it feels sososo good to be at home with my family. This is the 2nd time (yes, 2nd time) I am able to slack at home this hols. You can see how much of a luxury it is to me. =)

Last week was quite a busy week for me. It's a week of reunion and reminiscence as I met up with my primary school, secondary school and JC classmates over a span of 1 week. It's like going back on a time machine to revisit my childhood and growing up days. 23rd of Dec was spent at PL's house with the 3/4 Freakz. Surprisingly, zhihui was there! I have not seen her in a million years! PL's mum was a great host. She never fails to amuse the bulk of us with her funny comments about her own son and amusing questions as well.

X'mas eve was out having dinner at Waraku de Pasta with Vaneh and co. Janice brought me a Santa hat and we walked around Marina Square in it!

X'mas Day itself was spent with my girlfriends at Settler's! I hope this tradition of meeting up on X'mas Day never dies! Can't believe we have been doing this since sec 1! =) Love u gals lots! I am waiting for xf and el to send me the pics!

And yes, I met up with my primary school friends at JP Macs on the 27th! It feels so good to see everyone again. It was a last minute decision by Wen Wen and Harry who are back on holidays. Surprisingly, around 8 of us came! We all live near JP anyway, so it's quite easy to get people to meet. We kept ourselves amused for hours by reminiscencing on those silly days back in primary school. Wee, and we are planning more meet-up sessions over the next few weeks before everyone gets busy again! =)

Went to Settler's again on the 28th, but with 04S61 this time round. Daniel, Karen, Jane and Daowei came during dinnertime. My goodness, I have not seen daowei in a million years. Sososo surprised to see him that day! Haha, Karen and I were laughing at how mismatched the guys from our class looked. They still looked so mismatched after all these years. *lol*

All in all, 2007 had been a great year for me.
I made new friends, re-found old friends, got into the course I wanted to, grades were within my expectations, did many many things, joined many activities that widened my perspective...

Hope that 2008 will be an even better year! But, that means we will all be turning 21, something which I really dread! =(

X'mas Song Sign 2007

Oh my, X'mas song signing is over in a flash!

所谓“台上十分钟，台下十年功”, all the hard work we put in over the past few weeks was just for that few minutes of performance over the four days.

Our first stop this year was at Bugis Junction. The crowd was rather sparse as compared to last year's. I guess the rainy weather and location of the stage contributed to this. But nevertheless, RSPHI was very high as usual and surprisingly, all the groups did very well for their first performance! Afterwhich was a mad hunt for presents for the song sign group's gift exchange. We desperately combined all our items together in exchange for the free wrapping service provided by Action City. Everyone ended up eating desserts at the food court while waiting for their presents to be wrapped.

Our performance the following day was at Jurong Point. We had practice in school before heading to JP for the performance. I think JP is the best venue cos there's a nice, big stage for the juniors to perform on! The performance was great cos the general feel of each song was fantastic! I could feel the joy of X'mas in the air! =) Was actually kinda tired after such a long day, but some of them actually had the mood to go catch warlords! I decided not to join them and shopped around instead. That's when I caught sight of the fossil watch on discount and decided to buy it after much consideration. It's actually an early birthday gift from my dad. I am not that rich ok. =)

And I got to perform at Wisma on Friday with the other seniors! The stage at Wisma is super pretty, but badly positioned cos there's not much space for the audience to stand and view the performances! But yea, it's good to perform again! The last time I performed was during Project ID in June and WSC welcome tea in August!

Went to Ding Tai Fung after the performance cos we skipped dinner to practise. Anyway, all xiao long baos taste the same to me. People kept telling me how nice the xiao long baos in Ding Tai Fung were, but I really dun see the difference between the ones here and the ones in Crystal Jade or Boss. Haha, they all taste good to me!

And before we knew it, our last performance date has arrived! We had our final practices and gift exchanges at some void decks near J8. I am super super touched by Perfect X'mas's juniors! They are really a wonderful bunch of people! Though rather quiet at times, they somehow always managed to surprise us with some unexpected stunts or initiations! Look at what they made for each of us:

They treated us to Pizza Hut too after the performance. Could tell that they really love us a lot. Haha. =D

Oh, I got a Baby Pooh puppet for the gift exchange!!! It's freaking cute! Thanx Yiping! On top of that, there's also cards and messages from many others. Thanx people! And here's a big thank you to GL too. He was not able to give me his hand-made card during the senior song sign grp's card exchange session cos he had been very busy lately. Could tell that he was feeling very very bad. I was ok with that, but I diden expect him to go back to hall to finish the card and pass it to me personally on X'mas eve. I really appreciate it. He really kept his words. Now I know why he managed to win the heart of his "future happiness"! ;)

It's all over already. Crazy it might seem, but I really do miss song sign practices. Thank you RSPHI! Life in Uni would not have been the same without u guys. You guys had became an indispensible part of my Uni life. No words could express my love for you people. =)

I can't believe that the xmas song sign performances are going to be over soon!
My holidays was basically spent at the freezing cold SAC, practising xmas songs with my beloved batchmates and juniors. =)

Amidst all that, I managed to squeeze some time out for dinner with my lovely friends as well. Met up with jinx,kia,sk and hf for dinner on Saturday night. We ended up at the hawker centre at people's park cos hf was craving for something more 'Singapore'. I bet he missed Singapore's food like crazy after spending some time away from here. But it's pretty cool for him to tour Beijing all alone! I like the idea of touring and exploring a country all on my own. And thanx for that lovely notebook. It is very very cheena indeed. 我喜欢！ We idled our time away in Macs before going home to watch tv shows.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I had been super busy with the X'mas song signing practices! And before I know it, my holidays are already halfway through. I can't believe it! There's still so much stuff I wanna do! But then again, song sign pracs are fun, so time flies when I am having the practices. =D

And boo! I am out of the house everyday! There's no one day which I stayed and slacked at home for the whole day. Was out with my THM friends last Thursday to watch the movie Enchanted. Oh, it was a hilarious movie! The princess and prince were pretty much of an airhead. Was super amused by them. =D

The farragoians held a surprise birthday party for wenqi on Saturday night at yy's house. It was pretty successful and I think wenqi was very touched! And YM's curry chicken turned out to be nice! Diden know he could cook that well.

Sunday was a long day, where we spent almost the entire day at Mountbatten CC for the Chinese Course OpenHouse. Response was lukewarm, but I think the participants did enjoyed themselves. Hope they will help spread the word and we will be able to recruit more people for our Chinese Course next year.

Met up with kia and jinx on Monday! We ate at Billy Bombers and I felt super bloated cos the Naked Gun Burger was humongous. But it was nice! =)

Was out with my HR group for the of Tuesday. It's nice to see them again after almost 2 weeks! Haha, hope they can all get the same slot as me for next semester's seminar and we can have lotsa fun again! =D

Just came back from dinner at Big Eater Zichar with my RSPHI friends. I am seeing them for almost 7 days a week. But I have never regretted my decision. RSPHI really added sparks to my Uni life. Looking back, I am thankful for having great friends from my CCA, my 1st year in Uni and both my specialisations this year. So..thanx for everything! =)

Can't wait for the week of X'mas. Having lots of meet-ups and gatherings! =)

Gathering Cobwebs!

This place is gathering cobwebs again!

Anyway, the holidays are finally here! Time to chill and relax after such a hectic semester! =)

I just finished last paper last Friday (like, finally). Frankly speaking, I couldn't be bothered with what I wrote. I was staring at the clock and counting down to the final moment of the exams. Hehe.

Had lunch at Pizza Hut with my HR friends and I must say the chicken meatball pasta there is very droolworthy! I had some time to kill before meeting the girls at KL's room and so...I decided to take the shuttle bus down to IMM to do some shopping! It's so nice to just window-shop without any projects and assignments to worry about! IMM now is so different from what it used to be. I remember it as a boring, ulu furniture mall when I was a kid. It's been ocnverted into a shopping mall now, save for a few bridal and furniture shops.

After that was a crazy night with the gals, playing settler's board games in KL's room, courtesy of the JCRC. I love Dawn Under, the game where you had to match the vampires with their graves. Can't wait for the HR group outing to Settler's next week!

We had dinner at Big Eater zichar near our house. It's the best zichar stall ever! I freaking love the food there! =)

Saturday was spent at the Children's Association Charity Fair with some of my HI friends. The DJs from Yes 933 had a booth there too and almost all their DJs went down to man the stall! There were performances put up by various groups, including SADeaf as well. Oh, and I finally saw the X'mas lights this year as we were strolling down the streets after dinner!

And no, I didn't stay at home on Sunday. I went shopping with Kia cos we were both bored!

Monday was the start of the song-sign practices! 9 more practices to go before our performance! I love song-signing with RSPHI! =) The camaraderie and spirit forged during this period last year was really wonderful. Looking forward to experiencing the same fuzzy feeling all over again this year. Went for Wilbur Pan's concert with ade after that. Saw lots of my friends there as well. Seems like everyone loves Wilbur Pan! LKC audi was full despite it being the holidays. I thought the turnout for the campus concert would be bad. But it turned out otherwise! 潘帅真的很帅！ *beams* And he sings quite well too! Woots!

My day doesn't quite end here. I went down to Bugis to meet my Yr1 friends to celebrate huifen's birthday! Happy Birthday Lao Da! Woon Ping was the only guy there cos the other guys all went on holidays! Lucky people! Goodness. He actually had a tripod stand with him and much to our amusement, he took it out and we took pictures ourselves, right in the middle of the steamboat shop. -_-

Woke up really early today cos I had a meeting with ade and elaine at woodlands library on the Loreal E-strat thingy. We submitted our decisions in a jiffy! Haha, I dun think we will even make it past the 1st round. It's like super confusing! We just joined for fun! Afterwhich was shopping with ade at Causeway Point and West Mall. We were commenting on how it feels like we were back in RV again, hanging out at shoppiing malls with nothing to do. =)

I am now wondering what to get her for her 21st. Haha, I bet she is thinking about what to get me too. Headache! Shall go shopping more often for more ideas! =D

My schedule for the whole of Dec is super duper packed! I will be out of the house practically everyday, alternating between song-sign pracs, outings and meet-ups! Hope I can get to slack at home before school starts again!

I heart mediacorp for bringing back those old classic dramas like Fu Man Ren Jian and Dou Fu Jie! Nothing beat those dramas! Really get a kick out of watching them, despite having to mug for exams. And there's also the S-Pop series which featured so many talented S'poreans, bringing those good old Xin Yaos! =) I feel all warm and fuzzy watching these dramas and listening to these songs all over again.

On a sadder note, I just realised yesterday that one of the five rowers was from my batch back in RV. No wonder he looked so familiar when I saw his photo in the papers. Ms Jessica Goh has set up a blog for him and every word there pricks like a needle. It's really heart-wrenching when I read the papers these few days, especially the scene of their friends and family members calling out for their souls by the river. May they rest in peace.

This is sososo irritating! Some people are partying away already! I will be one happy girl come 30th Nov. I am so looking forward to the hols after such a hectic semester. Whee, there's song-sign performances, outings, shopping trips, X'mas and wq's surprise bday party(I dun think she will see this) to look forward to!!

And I can't contain my excitement cos we got a good grade for the FastCat report! Hmm...come to think of it, maybe the whole world got the same grade too. But still, I am contented with it! All the late nights at FAL, telephone conferences at 1am and Sunday afternoons at Clarke Quay..it was all worth it! =)

Why am I still slacking away? I have 2 close-book exams next week!!!

I have officially transformed into a 宅女 recently, cooping myself up at home everyday to mug. There's just so much to study. I can't believe BH223 is a close-book exam!! Of all things!

And why must my exams end on the 30th, when the whole world is partying away already (or died from partying, in the case of the BnF people who ends on the 23rd).

Haha, the most exciting thing that happened to me this week has got to be going to Hall 15 to collect my long-awaited birkies from kailing! It's sososo pretty! And kailing's room has officially turned into a mugger's den, with her and yt mugging away like there's no tomorrow in there. *lol*

Oh, there's something else to look foward this week...which is yt's sister's wedding dinner on Saturday! So exciting! Whee!~ There's a reason to dress up nicely and also meet up with my lovely friends amidst the mundane days of mugging.

End of a hectic week!

Weee!! It feels as though the exams are over already cos I survived hell week!

Goodness me, I cleared 3 presentations and 2 reports within this week! Ha, and I was especially high after I finished my ab214 presentation and handed in my FastCat report on Friday. The day ended great, with a THM field trip to Four Seasons Hotel! Think our prof for this module is a super dedicated and nice prof. Will miss him next semester cos I dun think he will be taking us for anymore modules. =(

In fact, this week had been quite an eventful week for me: Meeting up with friends, last BS3 lesson, last tutorial, last seminar..

Thanx for everything! Though the project was time-consuming, I am sure we all learnt a lot from it too. =)

Wednesday was our last BS3 lesson with Freddie. We gave him a card and present which he liked very much. I really enjoyed his lessons cos he's such a fun and outgoing guy, always sharing his experiences and jokes with us. Oh, and we got back our BS3 test that day. I can't believe I scored 99%!! *lol* I think the tester was very nice lah, cos the whole class got quite high marks too. =) Whee!~ RSPHI rocks! Can't wait for the K-ge outing and Christmas Song-sign after exams!

And after such a hectic week, I headed down to Vivo yesterday to shop with Kia and Jinx! SK and HF joined us in the evening for dinner. We went to a jap restaurant which cost us a bomb for a few pieces of sashimi. It was very very good, but it wasn't filling at all. We ended up at the hawker centre opposite for more food at a lower budget. *haha*

And we were photo-whoring time at the hawker centre! I conclude that hawker centres actually have rather good lighting effects for taking photos. It was at least better than the so-called professional shots taken at NBS.

Boo!!

Please let next week be over soon. I have presentations on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and reports due on Thursday and Friday! This is freaking annoying. And boo, I had been coughing like mad over the past few days. Ponned comms class on Friday morning and visited the clinic on campus. And guess what? The pills and cough syrup amounts to only 4 bucks!!

Anyway, the BS3 test on Wednesday was quite ok. It was even easier than my BS1 test cos the tester was super nice and signed very slowly and clearly! Woo! =)

Thursday and Friday nights were spent at the FAL, doing my FASTCAT (damn it) project. Haha, we are a super unhealthy group who snacks a lot and joke around during project meetings and end up eating dinner at 10pm. Luckily there's people who drives in the group. Can always drive us around for dinner or give me a ride home. =D

I can't wait for all these to be over!!

I am like super super busy! Goodness. This is even worse than last semester. I have BS3 test and FastCat Quiz this week, 3 presentations and 2 reports due next week and 1 report due the week after next!! Tell me where do I find the time to mug??!!!

I AM SO STRESSED! Had been rushing projects every single day. *argh*
I need some retail therapy, and so, I have resorted to online window shopping again! I am waiting for my new birks to arrive!! =)

My blog is rotting! But I really have no time to update! There's nothing worth blogging anyway. The boring and tedious projects this semester are really killing me. I think the marketing and OB projects last semester were much more enjoyable! Argh. And I am kinda behind in my readings and textbook chapters!! Stressed! I wanna go shopping!

Boo. Just pray that I can get out of this sem in one piece.

Think my only highlight of the week is the BS3 lesson on wednesday nights where I can escape from reality for a little while.

Oh, but the juicy gossips I heard this week were enough to get me out of my depression state. Haha!

Ain't the bear and flower cute? The waiter at Yuki Yaki did it for us at the DIY Ice cream stove! Think Yuki Yaki is quite a nice place for steamboat and bbq, though the price's quite steep. The fish and squid there are nicely marinated, plus there's DIY Ice Cream for us to play with! =D

End of recess week!

This place is gathering dust! So sorry, had no time to update cos I had been busy with projects and RSPHI stuff during the recess week. *Sobx* there goes my recess week =(.

Last Sunday was spent at Clarke Quake doing project with my HRC group. I think we played and crapped more than we discussed. We were playing with the sepia, negative functions on our handphones and taking stupids pictures.

Then there was RSPHI orientation at Pasir Ris last Tuesday. I think the juniors were all quite sporting and us seniors super HIgh for no reason as usual. So it was all in all a very fun orientation for us. Ooohhh, on top of that, we have a super nice orientation tee too! Whee!~ And Tuesday happened to be Mid-Autumn Festival..and so we carried lanterns and played with sparklers after the bbq! A lot of people from Farrago stayed over. We stayed up and played games throughout the night. Goodness. We were all high from a lack of sleep when morning came. *lol* I slept till the afternoon when I reached home. Woke up for BS3 lessons in the evening. Wee~ I love Freddie's sign lang classes!

Did BT201 project on Thursday morning at Pacific Coffee. Haha, we actually sat there for a few hours without buying anything at all! What a nice little place! =) Mengni, Daphne and I went for a K-ge session after lunch while Maybelline went home. I was squeaking most of the time cos I think my throat was a little sore from all the shouting and bbq. =/
And no, Wednesday was not the last time I saw the RSPHI people during the recess week. We gathered again on Thursday evening for the WSC thank-you dinner at Guilin Restaurant. Can see that WSC was low on budget but we appreciate their efforts nonetheless. RSPHI was very enthu and and noisy as usual. Haha. I think we don't mean it lah. It's just that everyone really gets along very well. But I think we are gonna get condemned by the other RSPs already. *lol*

And that sums up my recess week. See? I diden get anything done at all! So much for letting us have a good break! Gotta buck up already! =S

MAF was over in a flash!

I miss Hwa Chong sososo much! It was great to see all those familiar faces again. And surprisingly, a lot of people from the 04 batch went back. 回家的感觉真好。

And I counted: At least 14 people from 04S61 went for MAF!! I miss 61!! Those crazy, slack, lousiest results, anti-siva, mad-about-PW and innocent days!=D

The centrepiece was a super long dragon at the central plaza, albeit hideous, but I could see their efforts nonetheless. We were ohhh-ing and ahh-ing over the light-up as usual...but it was less grand than before. I remember the most exciting one was the one during my JC1 days, where all the faculty heads carried torches and lighted the fireball.

Nothing could describe how we felt last night. A night of nostalgia I would say. MAF is really a great time for long-lost friends to reunite again. MAF is our event, an event which you can't find elsewhere. That's what I love HC for.

Free days are cool! It feels good to just slack and laze around, with a textbook in my lap occasionally.

I had a great weekend! Was out with kia and jinx on friday at IMM. We had fun just walking around, eating, crapping and doing our favourite activity - taking neo prints! Haha.

We had dinner at a HK cafe in front of Daiso. The food there were rather small in portion, but jinx and I happened to order one with a super huge portion. I burst out into laughter when the staff placed it on my table. Just take a look at my chicken mushroom baked rice:

We spotted a super pink, kawaii and and extravagant car which screams 'Hello Kitty' from front to rear (notice the exhaust pipe takes the shape of hello kitty's head):

Btw, the newly-revamped IMM is a nice place to shop at. There's lots of new shops around! oohh..Jinx and I bought a ultra kawaii turtle handphone accessory!

And we played at the arcade!! Goodness! We were squealing like mad when playing Bishi Bashi. I think everyone in the arcade could hear us. And I must say that Jinx has a super quick human reaction time. She's even faster than the computer. *lol* I think I am only good at the games with the colours and burgers.

Saturday was spent at SAdeaf as usual, but we all went there early cos we had juniors coming in!! =D The juniors were all rather nice, so we have no worries. =) And Farrago actually has 9 guys this year, which was 3 times of what we had last year! Hmmph! Haha. Anyway, hope that the juniors will have a fun and meaningful time ahead in RSPHI. I can guarantee it's something they won't ever regret joining. =)

2 more weeks to recess week! It's gonna be exciting cos there's RSPHI's orientation and WSC Thank-you dinner! =D

Woohoo! Kge with RSPHI peepx today! A grand total of 17 people turned up! Haha, give guo liang the bday boy face mah, cos he was the one who suggested the outing. Anyway, I think the people in RSPHI can really sing, especially the guys. I have never seen a group of guys who can sing that well, hitting all the right notes and using their falsettos with ease. Goodness. I almost melted. What has the world came to? =) And singing with guys at least 2 years older than me is good cos there's finally people who can sing those ultra old and ulu songs with me. *lol*

Dinner was at Botak Jones! I finally patronised that place. The portions were super HUGE. The fries seem to have multiplied by binary fisson. I can't seem to finish them at all. I am swearing off Western food for at least a month. Going out with them rocks cos there will always be people there to send us home in their cars. Woo!~

I went for the Singapore Bay Run with the RSPHI peepx and some of the HI community today! The running vest was - (I shall not comment). Haha, but it sure was great fun to run together with my friends. The gung-ho and super fit ones ran all the way, but not me though. I walked and ran with a few other species like me. =)

But it's really an achievement to complete the 6km journey with my friends. I think we were super high cos we basically high-fived anyone who's wearing the same shirt as us when they crossed the finishing line.

Wee!~ RSPHI rocks!

Anyway, I feel slack and stressed at the same time ever since school started. Contradicting huh? Stressed cos there's a lot of stuff to study and everyone seems so zai. But then again, I dun have a lot of MATHS-y tutorials for Tourism. Basically, we just discuss articles in class and voice our opinions on them. There's like not much tutorials to do. Project-wise, though there's a big-scale project for HRC, it's much less frequent compared to last semester. And I have a 4 day week!
Haix, hope that everything will go well this semester.

Haha, I like the start of a new semester cos i get to sport new eye candies! Plus there's tons this yr! Hehe.

Finally caught 《881》- alone though. Well, not exactly lah, cos I was in the same cinema as my parents, just that they were not sitting with me. I bought tix at the last minute u see.

I caught Secret over the weekend.

周董第一次导戏，其实还不赖（我不是他的粉丝）。很巧妙地把校园里的那种纯朴气息，单纯的友情呈现出来。再加上一个不是那么真实的秘密。。。真的十分唯美。但唯一美中不足的是。。我的想象力太丰富了，半途竟给我猜中了剧情！下次还是别想太多好了，乖乖地看电影。=）

The only thing that makes going to school worthwhile is seeing my friends and going for CCA. Speaking of friends, I miss my Yr1 tutorial mates!!!! Guess the only time I will get to see them is during the break on Tuesdays. Sad isn't it.

That was how we spent our National Day holiday.

We went to the farms at Kranji! We actually met at 9 in the morning, so enthusiastic huh..=) Anyway, I thought the farms would be deserted on a public holiday, or worse, not open at all. But surprisingly, they were quite crowded, with parents bringing their little kids on tours and elderly people going to the veggie farms. =) S'poreans are quite cute I must say. Diden noe they had that educational side in them.

It was quite an eye opening experience. And best of all, u dun have to pay money to enter the farms! =)

Who says Singapore is a boring place? Did u even know these places existed at all? Haha, for that part of the day, we didn't feel like we were in Singapore- until we started belting out patriotic ndp songs while waiting for the shuttle bus at some deserted road, which totally irritated an autntie nearby. Haha.

We were all sweaty and stinky at the end of the day, but it was worth it!

Just finished watching the Japanese serial '1 Litre of Tears'.
It was very very touching and inspirational. It's been a long time since I last watched a show this meaningful. And yes, the show is based on a true story.

The spoilers just kept coming my way. Thought I would be able to read the book and find out by myself who exactly died. *argh*

And so, this week was yet another eventful week. I was practically out everyday as usual. Got to mention my trip to the science centre with beng and jinx on friday! We were there for the 'China: 7000 years of Innovation' exhibition as well as a sumptuous meal at Sakura Buffet! We got very excited upon seeing the very cheena looking entrance. My goodness. We were not in LEP for nothing. ;)

We spent more than 3 hrs there, making every bit of our admission fee worthwhile. We were squealing over all the various inventions and models. I think the Chinese in the ancient times were very innovative and totally ingenious! I was super impressed with their inventions and discoveries in the field of astronomy. Like this totally complicated thing for determining the position of celestial bodies:

Oh, and the structures in the buildings back in those days mostly don't have nails in them! But they were still very sturdy, thanx to the chinese's superb architectural skills! Haha, we spent a super long time at this section where we could assemble the parts of a wooden beam, made up of 6 interlocking pieces of specially cut wood.

We were very persistent in finding out the mystery behind the structure, and hence we spent quite a bit of time there. But we succeeded in the end!! It was totally ingenious I would say. Dun think an earthquake could even break the pieces apart! Kudos to the ancient Chinese!

There's of course a lot more stuff there. So do go down to the science centre if u guys are interested in the exhibiton! =)

And then there was yunny's brithday celebration on saturday with my uni friends! So glad that she liked the cross-stitch i have given her. Haha, it seems like we always end up at fish n co for our celebrations. Oh, the fish n co crew sang her a birthday song, in the fish n co way! Hope yunny wasn't too embarrassed by it! =)

Hmm...and I would like to comment on something here. I finally tried the doughnuts from Donut Factory today. I didn't queue of course! There's a new outlet at Suntec with an express queue for people buying 1 or 2 doughnuts. So I finally got to taste the doughnuts! I feel that...it's definitely not worth the 3hours queue. Don't understand why people love it so much. I think the doughnuts from Taka are much nicer. =)

Less than 2 weeks to the start of a new academic year. Time really really flies. I can still vividly remember how excited I was last year over entering University, meeting new people, joining new CCAs, taking part in orientations etc.

Almost 1 year has passed since then and I must say the 1st year of Uni was great for me. A mixture of fun, stress, uncertainty and at times, loneliness. That was how I would describe my freshman year. How I wish I could be a freshie all over again. It beats being a sophomore, knowing what awaits you when school starts. *argh*

It's a random thought, but anyway, I suddenly miss HC a lot, right down to the noodles(curry chicken!) in the canteen. Haha. I think I have too much free time, so much so that my thoughts are wandering about. =)

I finally had time to catch Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as what people has made it out to be. I thought it was better than Goblet of Fire, in terms of the atmosphere and the way they linked the various parts together. At least it highlighted the essence of the story, knowing how draggy the book was. But still, nothing beats the first 2 films. =)

I can't wait to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Please don't tell me who died, though I have already heard some spoilers here and there. =(

Just had my 4th Basic Sign Language II lessons today. The test is next week!! My goodness! Anyway, today is yet another fattening day. We went for Geylang for dim sum after our lessons. Argh, and we missed the last train!! Luckily there's a bus to Clementi and we cabbed home from there.

Anyway, I have something good to share with u guys: Please go watch 超级星光大道 aka the Taiwanese version of our Project Superstar. The contestants were super duper good! They win our contestants hands down! The local singers sound like amateurs next to them! =) Do go watch the videos on youtube or tudou if u want to hear really good music!

I just changed my blog template! It's time to change cos a new semester is starting soon! I spent a long time searching for a template that I really like before settling for this one.

I think I have put on weight during this hols!! =( But still, I embarked on a Chinatown food trip today! Chinatown is such a nice place for snacks and desserts. Our first stop was 天津逢记饺子 at People's Park hawker centre. I have eaten the dumplings from this stall before and had been craving for them ever since then. So I felt super 满足 when I finally satisfied my cravings! Jinx had a tourist's guide and we started looking through it to decide our next stop. We headed to a shop called 北京风味 which was supposedly famous for its 肉饼 aka pork pizza. We ordered a 肉饼 and 炒年糕 which were both quite nice. *yum*

We walked to the rows of shops opposite 佛牙寺 and stopped at Tong Heng's for egg tarts！ Tong Heng has one of the best egg tarts around. U guys can try it next time. There's an outlet at the basement of Jurong Point too.

We then crossed the street to visit 佛牙寺. My goodness. It was the most high-tech temple I have ever seen in my whole life. Fully air-conditioned, toilet with auto soap dispenser, carvings made of solid gold. I was totally blown away by all that. Everything looks way too commercialised for my liking. I still prefer the rundown temples. =)

Song-signing performance is over! *sobx* I think song-signing is addictive. But fret not, cos we have one more performance coming up, which is the WSC welcome tea. =)

Anyway, Sunday was a long long day for me. Reached Toa Payoh HDB Hub at around 11 for lunch with the RSPHI people before heading to an amphitheatre in the neighbourhood nearby to practise our songs. As usual, everyone was super high and we were taking pictures everywhere, all the way from the stage area to our holding area. We went to Crystal Jade for dinner after the performance. Hehe, we actually requested for seats for 35. *lol* I think the staff there almost fainted when they heard that! They hurried off to arrange the tables for us. Dinner was great with loads of lame jokes and comments in between. =)

Eileen and I then rushed down to Vivocity to meet our primary school friends. It was nice to catch up with them and reminiscene about the silly days in primary school. Glad to know that everyone is doing well. Looking forward to our next meeting with our pri sch teacher!

And no, the day didn't end here for us. El and I then rushed back to Toa Payoh for a Kbox session with some of the RSPHI people. It was already 10 plus when we reached there. They were there since 7pm. And I made a great discovery that day: All the guys there can really sing!!! My jaws dropped when I first heard them sing! My goodness!! We sang till 1am and took a cab home after that. It was a super fun day I would say. =D

Went for my last AB228A lesson this afternoon in my Business suit. Make-up, heels and stockings are the bane of my existence! Goodness. I can't stand any of them! But got to admit that this module is kind of useful in teaching us business etiquette and dress codes. We were photo-whoring after lessons ended cos it's rare that all of us are in our business suits. =)

Met-up with my primary school friends, yih chyn and du yang today. It's been years since i last saw them. Chatted about random stuffs. Haha, come to think of it, we have known each other for 11 yrs! Primary school days seem really far away to me! Anyway, glad to know that they are doing well in their medicine schools overseas. And all I can say to yih chyn is..all the best! ;)

Afterwhich was the usual song-signing practice at Esplanade. I have been seeing my CCA mates almost everyday, so much so that we are all sick of each other! Hehe, just kidding lah. I really enjoyed the sessions with those super crappy and high people.

Remember to come down to Toa Payoh HDB Hub on Sunday if u are free! We have a song-signing performance at 4pm! Come support us! =)

I wanna watch OTP and read the final instalment of HP as well!! I hope the movie won't turn out any worse than the book. OTP was my least favourite book of all. But still, I hope it will do justice to the book. =)

Shopping was a bliss! Ohh, we took pretty neo-prints! I watched in amusement as they debated over how to write certain characters in japanese. Ohwell. Haha.

Felt kinda uneasy when I was walking along the streets, but it was ok cos we were in a big group.

And...today is a stay-at-home day for me! I packed my wardrobe and bookshelf! whee!!~旧的不去，新的不来！More room for new stuff! =D

And today was doughnut day with jinx and kia at AMK Hub! We foodies read from the Straits Times that a doughnut shop in AMK Hub has the best doughnuts around. And since jinx and i haven been there before, we decided to go there to check it out! Anyway, AMK Hub is a rather nice place to shop around! We got our doughnuts so.. we are all happy people! =)

I have officially "retired"! 29th June was my last day of work. Think I need my July for my CCA, to plan my time-table, pack my wardrobes and do a bit of slacking around. =) Anyway, I worked OT as usual as it was the month-end closing. I am gonna miss my funny colleagues and my wonderful manager. So nice of her to want to organise another dinner treat for us again. I feel so paiseh at times cos she kept thanking us for helping her. But the thing is, I think we were more of a hindrance than help. Haha.

Sunday was a crazy day for me. Went kbox with xc in the afternoon and everyone was super high as usual. Rushed off for bbq with my uni friends after that. It was like orientation cos we played mafia in a big group! But it was a happy day though, meeting up with my different groups of friends.

The gst hike is driving everyone crazy! Everywhere was flooded with people today. I was walking around Marina Square after my Project ID song-signing prac and it was really really crowded. Anyway, the rise in gst had somehow given me a reason to buy things on impulse today. And I really did buy a lot of stuff today. =S

Speaking of song-signing, WSC's RSPHI will be performing at Toa Payoh's HDB Hub on 15th July. Do come down to support us if u are free! My group will be performing Anastasia's lovely theme song - At the Beginning.

My July schedule is packed with song-signing pracs! After we are done with Project ID, we will continue practising for WSC's welcome tea in August. Haha, song-signing has became part of our regular activities, on top of giving tuition at SADeaf. *lol*

1 more month before the start of a new academic year! Where have my holidays gone??!! I need more time to slack! =(

I think all the late nights and early mornings have taken their toll on me. I started falling sick on friday! Woke up with a slightly sore throat and feverish body on Saturday, so much so that I had to give the song-sign practice a miss. Sorry xf!

I can't wait to stop work soon and have a good rest before the new semester starts. Not that I have earned enough money. It's just that sign lang lessons and song-signing pracs are starting soon. I want to concentrate on them and also do something more meaningful for the rest of the hols. And yes, I have decided to give double specialisation a try. The sky's the limit. I wanna see where's my limit. Haha.

Oohh, I downloaded a lot of 陈绮贞 and 苏打绿's songs recently. I have always loved this genre of music. A little melancholic, a little blue, a little depressing, yet very theraupetic for the soul. 是我的海 by sodagreen and 华丽的冒险 by 陈绮贞 are highly recommended! =)

Had been thinking about this for the past few days:

Should I take double spec or not? It's now between 2nd specialising in HRC or minoring in Chinese. Bleah. I can't make up my mind. Both has their pros and cons I guess. A 2nd major would be a good way to clear the 20 UEs I have left, but it's gonna be quite stressful. On the other hand, though doing a minor won't be that stressful, I have to to take a lot of elective modules over the next 2 yrs in order to clear my 20 UEs.

Ohwell. I have till Sunday to make up my mind. Haix. I am such an indecisive person. =X

Goodness! I almost died from anxiety when I still couldn't see the course I was streamed into at around 11 in the morning!

And then I saw the magic words around half an hour later!

I wonder what awaits me. Seems like most of my friends are in HRC or BnF. *sobx*

Anyway, speaking of friends, I just met up with my Uni friends for dinner today. Havn't seen them in such a long time. I think I will really miss them a lot after we go our separate ways next semester. Hope we can still meet up often for lunch or something. =)

I had been getting into bed quite early the past few days. My record was 730pm yesterday evening! I must be getting old.

My accounts manager just treated us to dinner at some restaurant in Jurong East today. She's such a lovely lady. She treats us really really well and is really really patient with us. Though she's very busy and has tons of things to settle everyday, she never loses her temper and really treats her staff with respect. Goodness. I wonder how she does that. She's also the first one to arrive and last one to leave the office everyday. A wonderwoman I daresay. =)

Though I am back at my ex-company, I am working in a different department now. My manager now is much nicer than the one I was working under last year. That is why I am willing to slog my guts for my current manager even though there's much more work to be done in the accounts department. She's even so nice to ask if I would like to go back to my old department, where life would be much easier. But of course I diden do that. How could I do this to her?

Anyway, I am very happy at work right now. There's 2 other girls and 1 other guy my age and we have lots of fun everyday, despite our heavy workload, haha, like disguising our voices or faking names to avoid the suppliers who are chasing after payments from us. *lol*

Really glad that I have taken up this post. My colleague has told me before that things are chaotic in here. But somehow, we managed to get things done and had lotsa fun at the same time. That is why I had always felt that good interpersonal skills and passion will bring u far in a career, or whatever u do. Not money, not anything else.

Doing handicraft makes me happy!

Had been attempting to DIY simple charm bracelets recently, as well as a pooh bear cross-stitch! Nothing can describe the sense of achievement upon the completion of a piece of artwork! =)

Anyway, the reviews for SHE's new album were quite bad. But somehow, I found them to be rather quirky in a refreshing way. Thought 中国话，听袁惟仁弹吉他 and 五月天 are rather nice songs. hmm.

Oh, I think my legs are breaking after roaming the streets for the past 2 to 3 days! I have been in a rather good mood recently and nothing could deter me from buying things! This is badbadbad! Haha.

It's finally Friday! The weekend is here! And so are results!

Anyway, I was super shocked when I logged onto msn last night and saw many people with display nicks like "results are out". Thought it would only be out today afternoon. Oh, I improved from last sem! Was especially happy over Stats as I had always thought that my maths sucked like hell, but it turned out to be ok this time round. Was out with the gang today at Marina Square's Yuki Yaki (the place with the bbq,steamboat & DIY ice cream). It was my first time patronising that place and I must say it was a rather nice experience. The dory fish were super nice! *yumyum* We ate from 7 plus to almost 10 and walked away feeling super duper full!

My voice was hoarse from screaming too much at Mayday's concert! Went with crazy gals cheryl and meiying. Seems like everyone loves Mayday cos I saw the whole world there, like my jc and Uni friends for instance.

It was a super high concert, just like how any Mayday concert ought to be. But they sang some of songs which I didn't really know, like those super old songs from their 1st two albums and a few hokkien songs as well. Oh, and they diden sing 纯真!!! It's my favourite Mayday song of all time! They diden sing this song either during their concert in 2005! When will they ever sing this song??!!

Despite all these, I did enjoy myself at the concert. =)

A crazy night of excitement didn't deter me from going out today either. Haha. But I was out alone though, to the National Library to borrow some books. It's high time I start reading some books!! I haven read non-textbook publications for quite some time! To my surprise, I managed to find the adult fictions by Roald Dahl, which I have been searching for quite some time. I was super delighted when I saw them sitting on the shelf! I think Roald Dahl's adult fictions are kinda wicked with a tinge of dark humour as well. Kind of different from his children books. But then again, I have this idea that his children books are not as simple as they seem. =) Oh well, I am a skeptical person.

Took a day off from work today for my Tourism and Hospitality Management interview. It's hard to find someone as big and prominent as me. One of the prof there actually remembered me from last year's NTU-STB scholarship interview. Goodness. I was shocked that she still remembered me. Anyway, the interview was rather ok, more of a get-to-know-you-better and why-are-you-interested thingy. I still think results is the most important thing. The school is very pragmatic. Haix. Hope that I do get into the specialisation which I really want!

On life so far:

What else but work? Work is very tiring. I am working in the Accounts Payable(AP) department. There is work to do everyday. Work just comes in before you even finish clearing the pile in front of you. But surprisingly, I am ok with that cos time passes very quickly when u are busy. Before I know it, it's time to knock off!! Plus there's 2 other girls my age there, who are constantly chatting with me. *lol* =) After working in AP for a few days, I can safely say that I made the right choice by not going to accountancy. It takes a whole month's work and lots of invoices, Purchase orders and efforts just to slot that figure under the 'Accounts Payable' line. Maths is the bane of my existence. I can't imagine doing that for the rest of my life.

I can't wait for work to end soon!! Cos I want to do the things I wanna do!! It's a holiday afterall!! I shall perservere on at work and look forward to the fruits of my labour(moolah) in July!!

But on a brighter note, I visited St.James Power Station for the first time on Monday night after work. I was not there to club of course. I don't really like nightspots. I was there to watch Mister Singapore's presentation showcase!! Xf's friend (from NTU Chinese fac!!!! A cute guy reading Chinese!!!) is in the competition. So we went with her to support her friend. =) It was definitely an eye-candy galore. I think there were quite a few other contestants from NTU too. Haha. Hope her friend wins the competition. He seems really nice.

It's Wednesday already! Can't wait for the weekend to arrive!! =) Enjoy ur hols people!!

I just started work Friday, back at my ex-company. Haha, they are forever in need of people. The HR manager called me on Thursday when I was out playing at Kbox and asked if it's possible for me to start work on Friday. Think I will stop working by latest mid-july. It's my hols afterall. I still wanna do the things I want, like reading, exploring, learning new things and exercising! =)

It's been 1 yr since I left the place, but to my surprise, everyone there still remember me. *lol* They are still as nice as ever to me. For some weird reason, they seem to like me. Haha, no harm going back right? *winkx*

Farrago was back at SADeaf yesterday for the revision of our Chinese Course syllabus. Can't wait to get started on typing out the course materials for our new students. =) Admist all the discussions, we were crapping and doing some random stuff as usual.

10 of us then went to Cine for dinner after we were done with our meetings. Coincidentally, a group of HI youths were sitting at the table next to ours. Worried about our cmi signing skills, we sent YM the pro there to help us ask if they are interested in our Chinese Course. They were friendly but no one there seems to be interested in attending Chinese courses. Sad!!

Oh, I think Farragoians can really eat. We were pigging out like nobody's business. *lol* We took neoprints after dinner, at xf's suggestion. Haha. It's been ages since I took neoprints! I felt like I was back in JC all over again! Super fun! =)

And then we started walking aimlessly about Cine. Well, not aimlessly to be exact. We were looking for activties to do, like catching a movie or going K-ge. But it's a Sat afterall. Prices were either too steep or there was simply no appropriate activties for the 10 of us. We actually spent 2 hrs searching for stuffs to do before finally stopping at Ngee Ann City cos we felt hungry(again). And then, crazy us bought a 1kg Mango Mousse cake from Crystal Jade Kitchen cos it was on 40% discount and sat down at some place in Orchard MRT to devour the cake. And yes, the cake was followed by a random birthday song. My goodness. I think we were too high. I still couldn't believe we did that last night. Haha. The cake tasted weird, but what matters most is the company. =)

Busy we are, but I have never regretted joining WSC-RSPHI-Club Farago! Thanks Farragoians! May our recruitment for new students be successful!

I might be starting work soon. Seems like my ex-company needs people urgently and they called me to see whether I have found a job or not. Wee~I can see cash rolling in again. =)

Anyway, I kind of love my life now. I had been out everyday, either meeting up with friends or roaming about our little island. Is it weird to walk about Singapore alone? I was out yesterday and I kept bumping into people on the way, exclaiming with disbelief that I was out walking alone. Hmm. I think it's nice to have a date with yourself once in a while, doing random stuffs you feel like doing, without anyone asking why are you doing this or why are you going to this place.

I went back to Hall to return my keys. Chatted with KL for awhile before embarking on my solo journey to clarke quay. I had this sudden urge to go there cos I haven been there in a while. Besides, there's this new shopping mall called The Central which I haven visited. That explains my trip to clarke quay. The mall was totally deserted and I had a great time exploring the place. Sat down by the riverside for awhile before shooting some pictures.

I was done with Clarke Quay at around 2pm. I decided to visit Parkway Parade next cos I haven been there before in my whole life. I was wondering how am I going to get to the east side of Singapore from the middle of Chinatown when I saw bus 197 at the road junction. I vaguely remembered someone telling me that bus 197 goes to Parkway Parade. I walked over to that bus stop, checked the board to verify that and boarded the next 197 which came. Recalling what I saw on the board, I remembered it as being 3 stops after TKGS. I kept that in mind and true enough, I safely arrived at Parkway Parade. I started walking around the place and I actually saw some of my NTU friends there. Haha. They were super shocked to see me at the eastern side of Singapore. Then again, what's wrong with that???? And it took me awhile to explain my presence there.

I left Parkway at around 4 something. Thought I would have to take 197 back to Kallang Station and spend a great deal of time travelling back to Jurong. Hah, but lucky-me spotted a bus 36 at the bus stop which goes to Suntec! It goes by the ECP and it took me less than 15 mins to travel from Parkway to Suntec! Saw the pretty skyline of Singapore from the bus window and the ferris wheel which is still under construction.

Eventful week

This week had been a rather eventful week, though I have yet to find a job.
(Anyone has job lobangs?)

I had been out every single day, walking around and meeting up with friends. Haha, I even woke up at 6am yesterday just to watch the JC Chinese Orchestra SYF Central Judging Competition. Got to reach SCH by 8 something in order to get the entrance ticket. That explains why I woke up so early in the morning. Anyway, well done HCCO juniors, for obtaining the gold with honours award!!!! I was there at the audience seats and we all felt that you guys really stood out from the rest. =) There's something really deep and moving about your music, which made us really proud of u guys! I miss CO!!! Though I was more focused on HuangCheng than CO back in HC, I do enjoyed being in CO. Beyond Boundaries, Tian Lai Hui Yin concerts, SYF 2005...we had been through it all. I really do miss the friends I have made in there. Was so glad to see some familiar faces again at yesterday's SYF. =P

Wednesday evening was spent with jinx, sheepy and zy at little india. I have very interesting friends who share some common interests as me, such as exploring the unknown parts of Singapore and taking pictures of them! We went around shooting pictures, taking in the sights and sounds of the nightlife of Little India. We had dinner had a vegetarian Indian restaurant which served super huge portions. We -really- couldn't finish all our food. We felt guilty for wasting food, but then, the portions were unbelievably huge.

I am back from KL with the other five 71 gals!!

This was my first time visiting KL and I went there by train! Super cool huh? We set off from Tanjong Pagar railway station on Tuesday night and reached KL Central Station on Wednesday morning. The train was not -posh- like the Hogwarts Express, but it's still kind of cool cos we got to sleep on bunk beds in the carriages. The journey by train was rather smooth throughout but it do get wobbly sometimes. *lol*

Our accommodation was at the Sunway Pyramid Hotel in Sunway Lagoon and my, it was super nice, comfy, posh and affordable!! The beds are super nice to sleep in, so you could imagine how hard it was to wake up in the morning. We love the rooms to bits and we spent every night playing mahjong cards in the rooms! The best part was that they actually gave us connecting rooms! =)

Anyway, we spent the whole of Wednesday afternoon at the theme park in Sunway Lagoon. It was my first time trying more exciting rides, cos there's more people taking the rides with me. Haha. There's some rather gay but nice rides like one where we sat on a float-boat and moved through the rapids and some others like the rather scary rollercoaster where all of us could feel our hearts drop. I almost got onto the pirate ship, thinking that it was a normal pirate ship--but it's not. kl and val went first and the rest of us in the queue chickened out when we saw this:

We were totally shagged after taking those rides and we realised that we are really -old- compared to those energetic kids running around in the themepark. *sigh*

Thursday was spent shopping(which made us all energetic in an instant) at Sungei Wang and Time Square. Sungei Wang is something like Far East Plaza, where you could get stuff at bargain prices. It has so many shops that we actually managed to cover only half of them. Time Square had nothing which we could afford and we totally engaged in window-shopping. It's really for those people with the moolah for high-end goods. Even then, the shops don't really sell nice stuff. I wonder what's all these hype about Time Square about.

We went to Mid-Valley Mega Mall on Friday, and this time round, we had a much pleasant shopping experience. There's a lot of variety and mid-range goods which all of us could afford. And haha, with the combined efforts of us 6, we actually could redeem membership cards in the shops we went to. The atmosphere in the mall was rather good and it makes people feel like buying things. We ended up almost broke at the end of the day. *lol*

We had to check-out on Saturday noon, but out train was at 10 at night. So we left our baggages with the concierge and walked around the Sunway Pyramid Mall next to our hotel. We had like, 7 plus hours to kill before leaving for the train station. Haha. I bet we can remember the floorplan of the mall now after combing it for so long and stopping at so many places for drinks and food. Oooh, speaking of food, the hotel provides nice breakfast buffet and there's A&W and Dunkin' Donuts in the mall!!! We ate A&W at least 3 times during this trip and at least 2 Dunkin' Donuts each as well. Super sinful I would say. But just look at this, don't you miss them?

We boarded the train at 10 on Saturday night and finally reached Singapore at 7 on Sunday morning! All in all, it had been a fun trip with good company, good food and good shopping experiences!=)

After all the fun and excitement, it's time to settle down and look for a job. =/

1st day after the end of exams!

I feel...totally SLACK!

Went out with kia, jinx, sk and hf today. Have not seen them in ages. Haha, ok, I do see kia around in school but not the others though. I miss my j2 buddies! Was it two years ago, that we were hanging out in orchard everyday after school? Like what we were doing today? Time really flies man.

The guys never fail to amuse me as usual. Sk and his dramatic mannerism;Hf and his obsession with 黑涩会妹妹！My goodness! *shakes head*

Oohh, I felt like buying books just now while we were at kino. Came across 《盛夏光年》and I decided to buy the book! Haven read it yet. But I am sure it's better than the movie. It's always the case for books which are being made into movies. Some emotions and details in the book just cannot be depicted by the scenes in the movies.

Shall watch the dvd zy has burned for me after reading the book. =)

Wee~ Today marks the end of Year1 exams!! *woo* Haha, stats was quite a goner. Whatever lah. We will know when the results are released. Haha, JP was flooded with civilisation-deprived NTU students. Went to eat fish n co (again) with my tutorial mates and played arcade games!! It's been quite awhile since i last stepped into an arcade. Hoho.

Strangely, I feel kind of empty now that exams are over. Haha, as usual, I would be counting down to the end of exams when the exams hasn't even started yet. But now that it's really here, I am not ecstatic at all.

人是很矛盾的动物。Must think of what to do during the long break. Musn't let it go to waste. Hope I'll achieve a good mix between playing, making money and doing the things I wanna do. =)

Haha. The Sex and Death elective paper just now was...tricky as usual. Her MCQs are the ultimate man. We have never seen mcqs as tricky and mind-boggling as these. Luckily I S/U this elective. If not I will foresee myself crying over my grade when I receive my results.

Argh. And guess what? I received an email in the ntu account saying that due to overwhelming response, those who are interested in Tourism and hospitality management as their specialisation must write some crap and go for an interview as well!!! Hoowwwww!! Sian!!!

So damn hard to get in lah!! I really have to think of back-up plans liao.

Marketing was slightly better than OB. Haha, it's kind of crazy, but guess what? I actually had fun proposing and selling my ideas when I was doing the paper. *crosses my finger and prays that they accept my crap*

So I am done with the so-called "heavy subjects", leaving me with my elective(which I have S/U-ed) and Stats. Goodness. I feel so lazy after the OB and Marketing paper that I dun feel like studying for the remaining subjects anymore. Haix, but this will not do cos people in NBS are all super kiasu. I gotta MUG and get a decent GPA in order to secure a precious slot in the 50 vancancies offered for Hospitality Management and Tourism. Very hard to get in sia~

And so,OB was over in a flash. My goodness. A 2hr paper felt like 2 minutes to me. My goodness!! There just wasn't enough time! 勉强(and I emphasize this) finished the paper cos I was actually writing crap towards the end of the paper. *faints* I just pray that the projects, presentations and assignments which had been smooth-sailing all the while, would save me from the jaws of death.

Up next is marketing. Haha. I dun feel like studying at all cos I have a feeling I would end up writing crap again. =/

and so...today marks the end of all tutorials for sem 2. I can't believe this sem flew past just like that!!!

Can u believe it? We did around 10 projects this sem and had at least 10 presentations, including comm mgmt!! My goodness!! But somehow, we all managed to survive through.

Come to think of it, I actually enjoyed doing projects. Really had a lot of fun with my OB and marketing groups. =) All those late nights at Hall 15 lounge, cityhall, searching for the Ascott building, reckee-ing Donut Factory, and doing tons of pretty powerpoint slides (I really think our marketing n OB slides are super nice)...I will sure miss them all.

Ha, yesyes, and before I know it, the exams are here already!! I can't believe OB is on wed!! And I'm like, barely halfway through. *shit*
